I just want to say how much I'm hating Graham Norton, for the little jokes he makes about Jade.
He says he wants her to win, but it seems that the only reason for this is that he thinks it would be funny. It is very unfair, and I have emailed the show with really nasty comments for him, with some background info on Jade's hard life. It's only a gameshow and she really is harmless. He is being very unfair, and I dont even want to think about Jades reaction when she comes out. I can just picture her sadness to find out how she's been perceived. Leave her alone, Graham.

A newbie posted somewhere in another thread that he wants to tell us about Graham Norton and an email he sent him and requested a new thread about GN so that he can talk about it as he can't start a new thread yet.

Yeh, that was me (sorry about the confusion!). I just think it's really unfair, the little cracks he's making at her.

Fair enough Ben. I agree he does want her to win, because the longer she is in there, the more he can raise a cheap laugh. Norton has been doing it from the beginning. It's a pity his audience laugh at him as it only encourages him.

I don't watch Graham Norton and after everything I have read so far I never will.

I feel sorry for Jade when she gets out to find out how her fav comedian has been so cruel to her (or so it has been said not seen it myself lol).

That's not what I'm saying. I'm just trying to say that she doesn't deserve to be hated as much as she is. What has she done to hurt you?! I just think it's really unfair the reaction she's getting.

Straker - I wouldn't say she is a 'saint', far from it, but, every one who throws hurtful comments at her which she knows nothing about, she hasn't got a clue how she is being perceived and those who intend on making her life a living hell is in fact the villain of the piece. I am beggining to like Jade because i think she is a nice girl, and i don't care what everyone thinks so there!!!
But i like Graham Norton, he is really funny on his show, especially the webcam chats he does and the prank phone calls. A riot!!!

Actions have consequences. She’s seen the two previous BBs and read (if she can) the coverage in the tabloids of them. She’s had the "Talk of Doom" from the BB producers (advising her of the expected level of coverage from the media) so she’s as forewarned as anyone can be. She knows she’s been a backstabber, has unreasonably caused others to suffer and that she’s not the sharpest tool in the box.

Don’t forget this is all in the grubby pursuit of £70k and cheap fame.

What would you have us, and the media do? Celebrate her treachery and stupidity, shower her with plaudits?

No, but you're forgetting it's only a gameshow. Why make a laugh of her unnecessarily. She's hardly committed murder, has she? I'm not denying she bitched about Sophie, but some people, like Graham Norton, are being too mean.

He's doing a job as a chat show host - he's not a relative of Jades.

What I mean is I dont think he cares about the consequences of his actions. Him and The Sun newspaper have turned Jade into a hate figure. If I was him, I'd be feeling a bit guilty.

Also remember he is on every week day (I think) so the show has become more stretched, and he has to fill it with something, mind you I'd like to see a boxing match set up for the pair of them, Jade in the second round, ref stopped him from taking further punishment.

I dont really care too much either way for Graham's opinions on anything, but, as a new user, I am grateful that others do, because it allows me the opportunity to test out how to reply to messages, so when I find a thread that I do have an opinion about, I'll know exactly what to do - won't I?

You‘re vastly underestimating (as so many do who want the facts to fit their hypothesis) the intelligence of the public if you think it’s one TV show (Norton’s) and one newspaper which has somehow created this wave of revulsion people feel whenever they see or think about her.

Strikes me people are so afraid to go with what their gut feeling tells them and realise that it’s not wrong to revile someone who has demonstrated the behaviour she has. Where most people are failing themselves is by allowing their intellectualising of the circus that it’s become into rationalising and excusing her behaviour because then we don’t have to deal with it. We can just pretty much give her a "get out of jail free" card, pat her on the head and pretend it didn’t happen. Much easier than facing up to the fact that there are a lot of people like her around who should be taken to task for their spite and wiful stupidity.

We’re a nation afraid of confrontation in the way that the US and most of the rest of the world isn’t.

But it's not just a gameshow, is it Ben? It's a pre-renaissance witchburning with a heavy line in Old-Testament Judgement. Sure, there's the glorious cash incentive to play for, but we all know £70,000 pounds is a piss-poor sum of money to spend your time "playing" for on a 10 week "Game-show". The weakest link is a paradigm. You spend a day trying to win a few grand, and at ther end you walk off having done nothing but play the game.

BB on the other hand, actively discourages ANY game-playing whatsoever. Look at the indignant fury on this board to Adele's "Tactics". Ooooh, mercy me, tactics. It's a curious halfway house between TWL and a Yugoslavian celler during the occupation. Inside that festering ruin of a social hovel, there's no trust in the face of huddled semi-sexual bonding. Thus, the ratios are all out of sync. Cash to effort, winning to tactics - all wacked out. All that you have left is a process of judgement. The crackheads enter the house with the knowledge that we the people will judge them on the most base of human criteria. And why not? It's fantastic television. So piss on Jade, with her bitch-slapper ways. She went up before the bench and was smacked down by a cry of latent hatred for epitomising ugly, brutish stupidity.

That's the game, Ben. You're just watching the wrong feed.

Straker and PapaN, you need to get out more. Look around you - Jade is like everyone. We all do it, no matter what you say - we all bitch about other people, sometimes unfairly. You are over reacting to Jade. I don't see why you should dislike her so much. Leave her alone!

I didn't mean it in that sense. I meant it as in you should look around you. Everyone bitches. I dont see why a big deal should be made over Jades bitching.
