Thanks to help from you guys on here I've gone ahead and ordered Nanos for the kids for Xmas.

Now trying to work how all the other bits and pieces will work!

I want to get them a fairly inexpensive speaker/dock as I'm keen to encourage non 24 hour headphone use! I have seen the Logic3 i-Station on Amazon for £45. It has an output of 12W with a sub-woofer and has good reviews. Just want to check that it will be compatible with the Nano, does the dock adapter that comes with the Nano mean that I can connect it to any ipod docking station? They all list that they are compatible with the Mini and I'm guessing that they have not updated the info now that the Nano is out?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Oh, while I'm on a roll I understand that I can get a cable to connect the ipod to the line in sockets on the hi-fi, is this right and which one is the best?

Cheers,

Paul
