Chico's virgin on religious

X FACTOR star Chico is a devout Muslim who may marry a VIRGIN, his family claim.

The ex-stripper has bedded more than 100 girls.

But Chico’s sister Sabah, 35, insists that at heart the 34-year-old is a deeply religious family man.

She told a magazine: “He fasts, observes Ramadan and prays five times a day. He’s started reading the Koran and going to a mosque. As a Muslim, he would marry a virgin.”

A bit hypocritical don't you think?
Bedding loads of women and then expecting to marry a virgin!!

The subject of Chico's religious leanings was discussed in this thread. You may find it interesting.

I just don't understand how you can be a devout muslim having bedded 100 women? and then expect to marry a pure virgin.

It is purely hypocritical!!

Times may have changed somewhat nowadays, but it wasn't that long ago that attitude was the norm.

Men were admired for sowing their wild oats but they wouldn't dream of marrying a girl who was considered 'easy' or 'loose' as the terms were then. This was true of British men as much as other nationalities. In those days to get a girl pregnant and have to marry them was a cause of shame and gossip.........sometimes I think that we have now gone too far the other way, looking at the state of life today.

Obviously the tradition still holds true with Muslims, as with other faiths.

Whilst it may be hypocritical, it is considered right that a man should enter marriage experienced in the ways of life.

How can it be considered right that a man be 'experienced' and expect his wife not to be?

I'm sorry but if he wants to marry a virgin he can at least remain a virgin himself.

In christianity BOTH are supposed to remain virgins.
I never knew it was acceptable for one to a complete player and the other expected to have no life.

And he could have all sorts of diseases or anything? I mean 100 women is ALOT to bed......... his poor future partner

I think it's irrelevant anyway....firstly, who cares what Chico does in his private life and secondly, i'd hardly take the word of The Sun as gospel.....

I totally agree with this statement.

I can't understand how so many young people these days live their lives. I'm 21 and though I was interested in boys from the age of about 12 and knew of the mechanics of sex I would never have dreamt of sleeping with a guy at that age or 14 or 15. There is more than enough time to regret your actions without having to start regretable actions that early. Anyway I never really fancied teenage boys so I had to wait until guys of the age I did fancy also fancied me and didn't see me as jailbait

I do think Chico's attitude (if we are to believe the papers) is hypocritical though. I am a Catholic but I'm not going to pretend you may call me Mary.

Devout Catholics, particularly amongst Mediterraneans which my family is, still have this attitude but at least they don't have the view that western women are whores. However my aunts and grandmother still tell me stories of how they used to allow their boyfriends to sleep with prostitutes or looser girls in the town because they "understood that men had to satisfy their urges". My mother is the youngest of her sisters and would have had her future husband castrated if she'd found out he'd done anything of the sort. That aside, imagine everything you put yourself at risk of by taking that attitude. No wonder so many children were born with (and continue to be born with in certain parts of the world) venereal diseases and died from them, and invariably the mothers were blamed as being the carriers and sometimes shunned. Of course these days there is also the prevalence of AIDS.

It has to be said however that even in western culture, whatever the religion, men still have the attitude that there are women you sleep with and women you marry. Very seldom can a woman be seen as both.

It seems a lot of people care. Especially those posters that keep telling us what a nice person he is. The purpose of X Factor's 24/7 is to give us the impression that we are looking into their private lives.

Yeah but we all know that the way in which these people are put across is inaccurate......they may all be horrible for all we know....

Well, I know that I have done a few things in my life that I shouldn't, that's for sure. Some I regret, but others have been a good learning curve.

If anyone on this forum can honestly state that they have led a life without fault, then they truly are a saint amongst sinners.

They are also in a position to criticise others weaknessess because of the blameless and pure life that they have led.

Any takers?

Right then!

He can sing "Like a Virgin" on Saturday...

Tinkering with the lyric as usual, make it all about himself and working in a smutty reference for Sharon.

Perfect!

um...
did no-one actually pay attention to the leading post of this thread?
it said he MAY marry a virgin. That's what his family said, as that is what is generally accepted in the Islamic faith.
Nowhere was it stated that
A- Chico is getting married
B- Chico wants to/ is going to get married to a virgin.

All's it said is he might. And he might have done anyway, Muslim or not.

But please, don't let me get in the way of a xenophobic free for all

Definition of a good catholic, someone who will sleep around but refuse to wear a condom while doing it.

Where in the Bible does it say that you should remain a virgin? I can tell you where it tells you under what circumstances you can take a woman against her will.

Linkage

Chico's (((MEGA-CHICO-TIME))) sister was interviewed by a magazine. (Can't find any link to original source).
