Tim and eviction task
DeeDee
07-07-2002
did anyone else notice when Alex suggested that the two who have never been nominated go up for eviction, that Tim quickly took control and totally ignored Alex by suggesting straws, how quick was he.He then marked two pieces of paper which he convienately placed near the top .He then passed it to pj and kate by the time it got to him picking a piece of paper Kate and PJ were already up ,this was Tim cheating. He then had the audacity to ask BB to show his clip, when they did,nt he whined to other HMs he so wished he could of gone back a couple of hours so he could see his clip and gladly go up for eviction,"i do anything he says". What a load of crap! Does he really believe we are that gullible? Get him out now

Come on BB, Show him the clip. Let the public at him.

It was PJ who suggested the straws, and Tim then said no he knew something better or easier, and got the paper. Kate and Tim both did the paper, then Kate put the pieces in the hat which Tim was holding.

After Alex had mentioned that the two that hadn't been up for eviction, Tim said lets take time and talk about it, or something to that effect, it was after this that PJ said straws.

You need some observation skills. It was PJ that suggested the straw!!

I think it's clear he doesn't

No seriously people, why this obsessive fixation on Tim. I don't like him but I don't dislike him either, and don't spend my time scrutinising every breath or move he makes. If it was Alex or Kate doing the same emotional speech in the DR, they will get sympathy and understanding (try not to get out of your house for 3 weeks). If Spencer did the "hidding the bottle" trick, he will be considered COOL. But because it's Tim, nope, he must be crucified. Give the man a break!!

No obsessive fixation on Tim by me. He asked to be shown his clip and therefore take the eviction risk. Why should BB not grant his wish?

"No seriously people, why this obsessive fixation on Tim. I don't like him but I don't dislike him either, and don't spend my time scrutinising every breath or move he makes."

He's just a plonker really. The fact he's an upper class twit but really doesn't think he comes across like that is what makes me giggle.

"If it was Alex or Kate doing the same emotional speech in the DR, they will get sympathy and understanding (try not to get out of your house for 3 weeks)."

They wouldn't do that though. And if they did, it would at least come across as sincere, which Tim, for me anyway, didn't. I don't doubt he's worried about his girlfriend, but the pauses were too long, it came across as very false imo.

Perhaps if he hadn't made it so blatantly obvious that he did it - it wouldn't have been so pathetic.

Personally, I can't wait for the stick he's going to get when he comes out. Unfortunately, I've got a feeling that it will be Jade and Jonny up for eviction next week, which means Tim will somehow have wormed his way into the last 4. The ginger tosser.

Tim is an odious little twerp who thinks that the world owes him a living. A couple of things to point out: firstly, in spite of what he may want us to believe, he is not upper-middle class (OK, so he's got a rich daddy and went to public school; so did a lot of people I know and they are not and would never pretend to be UMC). Think nouveau-riche and you're getting closer to the mark.

He also thinks that he is a lot more intelligent than he has shown; does the fool not realise that the whole point of the BB house is that there are cameras everywhere? The chest-shaving incident and the wine-stashing incident (and it was Black Tower, for crying out loud; the BB producers clearly thnk that 70s naff and poor taste is back in vogue) would go un-noticed.

I would also like to point out that Tim's tears about his girlfriend are at odds with his general attitude to women (he wouldn't let his girfriendl wear a risqué outfit and is disgusted by flirtatious women-hence his loathing of Psophie); coupled with an obvious over-admiration of his modern-traditional designer mother and the fact that he is obviously marked by having been to boarding school, the man is as clear a woman-hating closet case as I have ever seen and really needs to get in tune with his true feelings.

There is a question as to wether Tim cheated.

Assuming the 6 cards were really random, the chance of pulling the first marked from the hat was 2 of 6 so probability is 1/3. Having removed one marked card, the chance of picking the other is then 1 of 5 or 1/5. The combined probability is 1/3 x 1/5 = 1/15 = 6.7%. This is a bit less likely than pulling an Ace from a full shuffled pack, which would happen about 7.7% of the time.

On its own I don't think it is enough to suspect his honesty, but consider these:

1) He tried to "fix" the musical chairs game by negotiating an agreement with Alex on the outcome. Alex refused and played by the rules.

2) He then pulled the chair towards himself when he saw Alex was about to win. As it happens he was not quite quick enough and Alex still managed to sit on it before him.

3) During the revolt he hatched a plan that would have resulted in everyone but him being exposed to punishment.

4) While I agree other housemates were capable of hiding of the wine, I think his repeated lying about it when directly confronted was exceptional.

I think a pattern is emerging, that this man thinks he has the right to play by different rules to everyone else.

Did anyone notice Tim was testing the water when he went into the DR and asked whether he should of handed in the magazine and they asked him to bring any empty wine bottles they were seeing if he would come clean about the hided wine and it looked like he thought he got away with it !
crafty or what !!!!!

I'd still like to know, why BB did not tell Tim to sit down, when he got up to go get the paper. The envelope said the HM's must remain seated on the couch. Of course that part was edited out on the repeats!!

This is what "toffs" do. I know I'm going to get flamed, but this is what Public Schools teach - to win at all costs.

This isn't a secret agenda its the very nature of the system and visable for anyone who works or socalises with "toffs". The reason they do it is because it worked in the past, and continues to do so.

I'm not criticising, if I had the money, my child would go to a PS, because they have a greater chance of "winning" when they leave school,

On last nights BB, the psychologist made some excellent points regarding Tim. First of all, he likes/needs to be in control hence his ignoring Alex. He butters people up to make them feel chummy towards him (e.g, tell Big Brother that he had concealed the wine "not just for myself, for the others too".

She made a very interesting point saying that when he was in the rich side by himself and they were all talking about jumping over to the rich side, he said that there was no way that he would go over to the poor side to end his isolation. According to the psychologist, this was the first time there was a chink in Tim's armour in that the other hm's saw a selfish side to him.

She compared him to a politician, forever kissing babies and shaking hands in order to create a persona but with the sole aim of getting what he wants i.e £70K.

I know that all of the hm's are trying to win the £70K but it seems to me that Tim is being the most sneaky.

Lets get to the point.

Timmy is a creep.
Not only that hes stupid too. How could he not think that the cameras would see him hiding the wine?

Indeed, LadyKnight.

He is a wretched wannabe-upper-class creep who's ashamed both of his hair colour and his mother's (in his eyes) less-than adequate social background; he is a racist homophobe with Victorian attitudes to women (I wouldn't let a girlfriend of mine go out looking like that); he is a prat who "does" countries rather than visits them and thinks he is cool for sticking to MacDonalds in Hong Kong (home to possibly the finest food in the world).

And to cap it all the f-cker has appaling taste in wine. MOST infra-dig.

Damn straight! Ladyknight.

He's also stupid enough to think the cameras didn't see him shaving his chest under the sheets.

Now before I am shot down, let me just say that there's nowt wrong with being from one social grouping (class if you want) or another... But it's the way that he's managed to kid himself into believing that he is something that he isn't*, into believing his own hype, which really gets my goat. He isn't a cut above (assuming for a nanosecond that the inbred halfwits who form our aristocracy are indeed a cut above, which they aren't), he's blatantly lower-middle class with a bit of dosh and a "posh" accent.

*Well, that and the sexism, racism, etc etc etc etc etc etc.

I wasn't being sarcy Gulag, I really meant it, he stands for everything I most dislike in a man - reminds me in a most unfortunate way of an ex-boyfriend from the dim and distant past. Even share's the same name and has the same narcisstic tendancys !!!

Neither was I, Nickerscat and I agree entirely with the above (well not the ex-boyfriend bit, unless certain people in the past have been economical with the truth about certain key aspects of their gender...). As I said before, one of the character traits which I most dislike is the fakeness and the clear hatred he has for certain aspects of his past which he expresses partly in his disdain for most of the other housemates. He reminds me of many of the rugby-playing intellectual nonentities I encountered at university who either got in through shere graft at great expense to Daddy in school fees and private tuition; without wishing to sound pretentious, I abhor him.

I am quite impressed that so far I have managed to avoid descending into the four-lettered abuse which Timmeh usually provokes in me... Discipline, boy, discipline!
