Goodness knows why Simon selected them. I didn't particularly like 4thbase but at least they had grit & determination.

I read Laura Conway and thought she must be on the production staff or something...totally forgot for a minute there were any Conways in it...or was that just wishful thinking?
Frankly Simon would be better off letting them walk, they already think they know it all. They might be able to sing individually (who knows? who cares?) but as a vocal harmony group they can't hold it together and that isn't Simon's fault or the song's fault or anyone's but their own.

I do feel a bit sorry for them as Simon's comments do indicate he doesn't really have faith in them. Maybe the psychology behind it is that he thinks it will give them the kick they need to really PERFORM. With their level of experience they should be better than they are.

Or maybe he just has no faith in them!

Strange story this. IIRC, there was a thread a few days ago, sorry I can't find it, but some posters were discussing how they heard SC comment to CS following the results something like "happy now."

If it's true that SC had to track Laura Conway down and bring her back to the studio, and persuade her to remain in the show, would part of that persuasion be a promise that they would be kept in the competition?

And if there is any truth in that proposition, how would SC know that the Conway Sisters had survived the bottom 2, before the results were announced.

Well done Laura! Simon Cowell couldn't care less about the Conway sisters. Laura has the right attitude to be in the music business. She seems like a nice person, but won't be taken for granted.

I have the upmost respect for Laura Conway.
