Today, Chrissie was arrested as 'Mrs Chrissie Watts' for the murder of 'Mr Den Watts'. This is wrong: she would be arrested as Christine Watts for the murder of Dennis Watts.

This is minor but I think the script-writers could've made more effort.

I think this was a informal arrest, they didn't say the speach after it.

I noticed that as well, but since he was known to most people as Den, I let it go.

Loved Eastenders today thought it was a really classic moment when Sharon punched Chrissie. Good on you Sharon . And then Chrissie was arrested was a really great moment also .

No, it was a mistake. The full names should have been used and they should have been cautioned. There is no such thing as an informal arrest.

She was coatuioned! It was being said as the camera closed in for Chrissie's trademark smirk, followed by the dum dums

Good point, well made.

But they did caution her.

Daft i know, but isnt it possible that she could actually be called chrissie, after all you can put anything reasonable on a birth certificate nowadays.

Quite right - but I think Leon Bilson was objecting to Dennis Watts being cited as Den Watts.

Personally, although I noted it - and always wanted to be called Den instead of Dennis - I couldn't care less.

Although I agree a little formality was required in this instance.

To be fair though, those police officers are seeming to crop up in every other episode nowadays so maybe they got confused and called him Den by accident. Or not.

That would have been my thought too, but I am sure that earlier on in the programme (or one last week) the lady police officer when speaking into her radio called her Christine Watts. That could have been the error of course, rather than when she was called Chrissie last night.

They also made a point of Chrissie using Christina when she was paying for the tickets by credit card, earlier in the episode.

Surely whether they say Den or Dennis it don't matter - it's the same thing!

I was more than a little surprised that the police quite happily let Sharon et al tag along to the arrest, and even let her give a little speech to Chrissie before they even said anything!

Also even if they realised she was going to escape via the airport - how did they know exactly which airport?

London has 3 (4 if you include Stansted)

The police should have said that she was arrested on the suspsion of the murder of Den watts. You do not have to say anything.... etc....etc.
