Hi there,

I have the Nokia 6680 and am thinking about sorting it to act as a satnav. I was wondering if anyone has done this so far, and if so if is any good?

Also was just wondering if anyone knows where to get hold of the appropriate software/hardware?

Many thanks,

Matt

I've got TomTom on my 6680. Have only used it a couple of times (locally) and it worked fine.

I got a TomTom mobile CD off ebay for about £5 and a gps receiver (like this )for about £50. You'll probably also need a memory card.

Hi sjr,

Thanks for that. Is the screen big enough to be able to see where you are going? Also is it possible to have it so that the directions are read to you?

Many thanks,

matt

Yeah the directions are read to you. I didn't really try to look at the screen much cause
1) I've only recently passed my test so still need lots of concentration
2) I haven't got a phone holder in the car yet so it was just lying on the passenger seat.

The screen of the phone is small so it's never going to be brilliant but I think it'd be ok.

I'm using Tomtom mobile on a 6600 and its great. I use it with a phone cradle from Halfords and although the screen is small it is quite visible. Make sure you use tomtom mobile 5 and not previous versions as they only work with the genuine tomtom reciever
