Colin's foot (merged)
Just heard on the paper review on Talksport that Colin Jackson has broken his foot and is out. Please tell me this is not true.

oh my god read this:
STRICTLY Come Dancing star Colin Jackson may have to hop off — after badly damaging his foot. Former Olympic hurdler Colin, 38 — tipped as a potential winner of the BBC1 contest — lost his balance practising the samba. He came down hard on his right hoof, and was rushed to hospital in agony with a suspected fracture. Doctors found he had badly torn muscles and extensive bruising. Last night Colin was resting and praying he would recover to continue in the show on Saturday. A BBC insider said: “Colin was in excruciating agony and underwent X-rays. He was being brave but you could tell he was very worried. “The doctors have said they don’t know how long it will take for his foot to heal but he’s desperate to continue in the contest.” Welshman Colin, a silver medal winner in the Seoul Olympics in 1988, has taken to the dancefloor brilliantly and quickly became the hot favourite. He was awarded a CBE in 2003 — and would be the first man to win the contest. The insider added: “The other contestant might have a chance this weekend.”

Argh! I can't believe it! Poor Colin. What terrible luck. If anyone deserved a good week it was him, after escaping jury duty at last.
On SDF a boy hurt his foot quite badly, didn't he? They let him survive one week without dancing and then if he wasn't going to be able to do it the following week he and his partner would have been out. Maybe that's what they'll do if they think Colin's going to recover *fingers crossed* |

Awwwwwwwwww Colin and Erin, yes I know he's the one that's hurt himself but she must be feeling pretty worried aswell. I really hope they can continue with the competition and can dance on Saturday, *crosses everything possible*

Ah, that would be so wrong if he was out. He is really doing well. I hope it's not too serious. Good luck Colin!

Oh no I didn't think my day could get any worst and I come home to read that Colin could be out. I definitely will be keeping everything crossed for saturday. I wonder if they will talk about it on ITT tonight.
Good luck Colin! |

People still had to vote to keep him in though, and Kristy had to dance on her own in the group dance. If Colin's foot is really broken though, as opposed to a bit sprained, then it's hardly likely he'll be able to dance again in a week. |

Colin does not get enough credit. This year they have decide to pay attention to the larger personalities. Colin is actually better than Darren, James and Bill.

Colin looked fantastic in training. I really agree with you, Eclipse, I think he's the most talented of the men, and this week (foot notwithstanding) I really hope we get to see him dancing to his full potential. Poor Colin - I'm starting to think they'd only give him a dedicated segment if his head fell off during training. Compared to all the chat about Bill's foot, Colin barely got a look in! Although I could watch Bill fall on his a** time and time again...

At last people thinking the same thoughts as me!! Colin being 'left to one side' by the BBC.
Colin and Erin do not appear to have had an equal airing to many of the others and this could ultimately work against their popularity. I could be very cynical and think that like they 'promoted' Jill and Darren last series, they are doing the same with two of the couples this series. But hey I'm no cynic ..............MUCH! |
