From day one, the HM's in BB3 have been hostile to each other and the whole concept of BB-something that was clearly not evident in BB1/BB2 in which the HM's got to know each other and make their minds up based on fact.

BB3 has seen all the HM's walk in with strategy/counter-strategy/Contingencies etc..Not gr8 viewing really

CH4/Endemol haven't helped with their segregation policy/selective editing in a bid to foster 'bad blood' in the name of entertainment. But inevitably viewing figures are up, well that was bound to happen with the interest generated by BB1/BB2.

I think BB4 is very unlikely. Me thinks the bubble hath burst.

I'll start with Adele's eviction, it was diabolical, I was totally disgusted. Fair play to the girl..she stayed true to herself and didn't backtrack. That fiasco was carefully orchestrated....Jade had 200 extra fans to cheer in case she came out to a bad reception....given that BB knew Adele was as much disliked, Why did she not have extra support?! The audience were FULL of Jonny fans and Adele haters!! While I really dislike Jade, I wouldn't have wished that ranting mob on her either!!

Back to Adele, there was a deliberate hate campaign last week from CH4 against Adele....Rise, Graham Norton and the biased editing on the ch4 show and website.

Talking of biased editing...I think ch4 have decided Jonny should win....Jonny get's described on the news items as "comical Housemate" or "loveable fireman". Alex gets "part of the scheming duo" or "old housewife" Before everyone attacks me for being an Alex lover...it's true I want him to win, but even if I didn't like him, I'd still be annoyed by the biased editing on the website!! Even Davina's Jonny's a people pleaser is that his only crime?!!

My main reason for posting was...the task on Saturday was a total anti-climax!! The envelope said all housemates must remain seated on the couch. Why did BB not tell Tim to sit down when he got up to go get the paper to tear up?! Tho..Jonny's face when he thought Alex had stitched him up was priceless. Chalk white face and sheer panic when he saw his family on the plasma screen, I've never seen anyone more disppointed to see their family!! I thought he was going to drop the kids off there and then on the seat!! (a saying which gets on my nerves!!)LOL

This year has been to cause as much conflict and tension as possible, treat the HM's like children(musical chairs, puppet shows) then they'll act like children...bitching etc. Come next year's series, I doubt if they'll even get the number of viewers the first two series had, as everyone is going to remember how biased and nasty this years series was.

The money they make this year could make a great difference
to next years Big Brother, they have the new house that will only need minor changes. I think you will see the money spent on a bigger and better cash prize which will hopefully attract a better class of contentant (maybe class is the wrong word)
but hopefully the biggest amount will be spent on a better production team, people who care what they are working on,
the programme will hopefully benifit from this years mistakes.

Oh and they play childrens games as the production team are children themselfs me thinks

I dont know wether you guys have noticed that this year after the housemates hear who has been nominated and indeed after they hear who has been evicted, they just sit there and show little emotion. Look back to previous Big Brother shows and they are hugging eachother and offering alot of support, something is different in this current one. They are in no way shape or form a solid "group". This years show is very individualised in terms of the houseamtes.

Yep! I agree with your comments about Big brother being the creator of all the bad blood in this series. It is deliberate.

They wanted to make it more dramatic and full of intrigue but in the process they have exposed how contrived the whole process is. The public do not
have control over the voting process it is the head of production (channel 4), Endemol and insiders who have been leaking information and making huge bets on people they want evicted. The publication of who has the most odds at the bookies has also influenced the voting process.

You can tell who Channel 4 bosses want out by watching the 10pm highlights on channel 4 and the website. At the moment the next person they want out after PJ is Tim. Then after Tim, Alex. These two have constantly been questioning and challenging Big Brothers authority and now BB is being bitchy and wants to exact revenge by highlighting anything that can portray them in a negative light. The trivial things they pick up on and highlight in the latest news section on their website is perfect example of their bias.

I think the public will eventually sniff a rat and will start to distrust the voting process. Once this happens then it will definately effect the success of the show and people's willingness to participate in it if they suspect that they might be used.

I don't like this series at all. It's been badly produced and there is not a single housemate that stands out. Last Year helen & Brian stood out from day 1, this year there is no-one with their qualitites, not even after 6 weeks. The housemates this year sepnd all their tiem bitching- did we have that the last 2 years? And again unlike the last two years voting has been influenced by biased editing, biased website stories, biased tabloid stories and betting syndicates. The producers of this series think they have thier finger on the button when really they've just got thier oversized heads up their arses. As for the contestants they chose, I saw many better people on BB Hopefuls and How not to get on big brother. They made the wrong choices and picked a dry bunch who bitch all day. Text "Vote producers" to 83188. Hopefully BB4 (if it happens) will be much better. All the fun and qualitites of the last two years has been sucked out. Even the live shows are lacking- BBLB doesn't have as much of the wit it had last year, and it's also lacking in features. I liked it last year when they used to do some interviews outside the studio and the gates. They also did some bits of the show from the top of a tower overlooking the river and the house. This year it's all from the (poorly designed IMO) studio. What happened to the house & studio in Bow anyway? Is it still there? If it is, I suggest they move all their gear back there.

If you look back, you'll find pics of the old site... it's just wasteland now. So, unless they do "BB goes camping"....

...now that sounds like a good idea. Next year they should dump a whole bunch of people in a tent in a field stuffed full of hidden cameras and watch the hilarious hijinks that follow. One of the live feeds could be from a "cow cam" attatched to a collar round Daisy's neck. Imagine the disgust/delight as E4 shows hours of uninterupted close-ups of the grass as Daisy tucks in.

Don't you think that the reason the viewing figures are more this time around is because of all the bitching and backstabbing? If most of us were being truthful we'd admit that even though we didn't particularly like the bitching we were dying to find out who said what about who.... it's human nature

I think people look back at BB1 and 2 with slightly rose tinted specs ......Craig's only notable acheivement during his whole time in the house was to stand up to Nasty Nick in THAT conversation - and even the lovely Brian was only funny and cute for the first half of the series - as soon as Josh turned up he did nothing but sulk, moan and bitch about him. And whilst Dean and Elizabeth were decent enough people by god did they bore the pants off us ......and don't even start me on that hat and jumper combo .......

Yes on BB3 the tasks have been lame, yes the contestants are young and bitchy - but hec, they don't have anything else to do in there ........

And as for C4 orchestrating who wins and loses - I don't see what they have to gain from it. Last year, good ol' Jo public voted out almost every interesting person from the house and it didn't dampen the ratings one bit ......so why do C4have any vested interest in manipulating it ????

Well I am really glad its not just me who feels this series of BB is in no way as enjoyable as the other two ! From the very first day it has felt somehow 'wrong', and I'm not sure I can put my finger on why...but I'll have a go

1.) The housemates this year seem to be ( as someone else pointed out) more bitter, more determined, more cynical, more arrogant than previous years.

In series 1 we had the compulsive Nasty Nick episode, but after his departure we had the highly amusing Anna, the sweet and lovable Craig and the fiesty Mel to watch. Who remembers the 'circus task' and the uni cycles ? Oh, and the 'Bobby feckin Davro !!??' form Anna. ROFLMAO. Overall the show was about a bunch of people entering totally new and exciting experience and it just seemed to 'work'.

In series 2 we had 'eccentric' Penny, the Amma/Stuart argument to begin with, and then we had the equally compulsive Helen and Mr Clarke romance which was both realistic, sweet and compulsive viewing. All this not to mention the hysterical Brian ( how rude !) Overall the show had an 'older' feel to it ( with Stuart, Penny, Naz, Dean, Elizabeth ) but also a sense that everyone was just in there to have fun...and it was fun to watch.

This year the HM's seem to be..and I don't mean this in a derogatory sense...but more, urm...rough ? I mean Jade, come on, it dosn't get much rougher than that ! I don't LIKE any of the HM's this year, I wouldn't want to spend time with them. And that to me, is the key to a good BB...wanting to be in there with them yourself.

There is no overall winner in any of them.

2. The god awful set. Will the person who designed that set please hang their head in shame ? Now I'm not into Feng Shui , but what I do know of it, that BB house is baaaaad. I still, after all these weeks, have no real concept in my head of where the kitchen is in relation to anything else..it seems to stretch right out and never end !! The lounge area is all wrong for camera angles, the bedrooms lack a 'coseyness'...and that stiarcase is a big old obstacle in the room...its only used once a week !!! The HM's don't seem as comfortable in the house, it dosn't look as lived in as other years, it lacks their personality in it ( which other years has created).

I personally hate the new walkway to the studio. In years 1 & 2 I always liked that the door opened to a big expanse of walkway and the cheering crowds at the end, it signified the 'walk to freedom'..the press were waiting first, and then there seemed to be much more space for the crowds, a much bigger walkway...it felt, I dont' know..'bigger', more 'important'. This years feels cramped and badly designed.

The studio is equally bad, with a feeling of emptiness to it. There are no pictures of hte housemates up as in previous years, the family are kept behind those metal railings and the camrea is kept too far away from the interview leaving me as viewer feeling like an outsider to it rather than a participator.

3.) Davina. Now, I LOVE Davina, she rocks. However, I just feel that somehow, and it certainly isn't explicit, but I feel that she has lost heart in it. She seems to be more jaded herself, seems to be enjoying it less, and the questions in her interviews seem less like the 'giddy fan' as in the previous two years, and more like someone reading out the questions the producers want to know.

My GOD what a ramble !!! How many people are still left ?

Anyway, it may sound stupid, but all of the above have just made the viewing experience less enjoyable for me. I just hope the producers can learn from their mistakes next year !!!
