Just to say I saw Darren B and Lilia last night Saturday doing cabaret in slough at Blanche Ingle/Bateson dance. They rushed there straight from the BBC Studios, which they left at 9.40 p.m. arriving at 10.10 p.m. to do their cabaret! They were absolutely fabulous and i don't know how they managed to look so good and perform so well after such a long day. Great personalities as well, and spent ages being photographed with audience, particularly the kids, which was really nice, when all they probably wanted to do was go home! Fantastically quick costume changes as well!

yes Becca did see Jonathan and Katusha they were brilliant as well. Didn't mean to ignore them, just that as this is a SCD thread only mentioned the ones taking part. Hope all four of them Darren B Lilia and J and N all do well at Blackpool this coming weekend. apparently, Darren G is going to support Lilia and Darren B, which is nice (and presumably to pick up some tips and do a bit of extra practice).

I'm hoping to get to Blackpool this weekend, but it's nothing definite at the moment as I have quite a lot on.

I'm not familiar with Darren and Lilia's cabaret, however I do love Jonathan and Katusha. I think they are amazing, I really admire them.

On the 18th it is the British National Championships taking place in Blackpool ( Professional latin championship). Darren B and Lilia came 2nd last year, hope they go one better this year! I am hoping to be able to go too, but depends on workload as I do not live that near!

I only live about an hour away, so the chance is there for me. I somehow think that Darren and Lilia will be winning this year . . . there's nobody to hold them off the top spot.

You can apply for tickets on the Blackpool Dance Festival Website. Hope you manage to get there. there is another festival in May, which Darren and Lilia have always been at so far as well. Don't know where you live, but if you are near Blackpool you may also be near Manchester, where they are doing their cabaret on 23rd December at Donaheys Dance Club in Dukinfield, if that's of interest!

I've been to SCD twice this series and I met Andrew (the loveliest guy ever have a nice lil story about meeting him!) Brendan twice- lovely, even managed to cope with me telling him I loved him lol! Ian, Camilla, Karen, Erin, Anton twice (my mum loves him!) Hanna, Darren, Lilia, Izabella. I also met Len, Craig and Bruno. And from the stars, Will, Bill, Fiona, Patsy, Darren, James, Dennis, Colin. They were all lovely!
I have so many pics to remember it all by too!

I actually looked at this site; after Becca mentioned on Darren & Lilia's site forums, that it should still be possible to get tickets on the door, tomorrow night (just on the off chance that I can get back to Bolton in time & feel like driving up the motorway), but couldn't find any info about tickets.

Have I overlooked something or is this an indication that there may be no tickets available? I even tried the link from the Blackpool Tourism site to the Winter Gardens, but they only listed events from next weekend. Any pointers would be very much appreciated.

If you go to www.wintergardensblackpool.co.uk you have a contact phone no. for the box office. There are still tickets available apparently, but you could phone tomorrow to double check! Believe it starts bout 7.30 p.m., but doors open from 5 I think! Hope you make it there!
