Thanks Cocoa. Another thought - who can you see holding their own on Parky?? The winner will undoubtedly be there, or on another chat show. Not Shayne - he needs the questions to rehearse 2 weeks beforehand. Has anyone noticed BTW that he seems unable to respond to what he is being asked. I REALLY question his grey matter. The reply he gave after performing Daniel B made me really wonder about him - as he seems so primed to win. He was EXPECTING a negative comment back - had the answer ready - didn't get it - gave the answer anyway - nobody noticed! How dim is he!! Very pretty though BUT????

I do like Maria, but the only thing that annoys me about her is her lack of personality. Great voice though.

Well given Maria has very little "oomph" that leaves Brenda in my view.

I have no problem with Brenda winning - I quite like her. However, not sure where she is going to find her market.

Whoever wins will be sent for lessons in how to deal with the media, interviews etc. I know someone who went through the whole process and he was so much better at dealing with questions once he had gone through it.

TBH though I don't really care how they deal with interviews when I am listening to a CD.

Why does Louis feel he needs to coach Shayne so much? Is there something to hide.. Or perhaps he is coached because he was the favourite to win (can't understand why)

Let's be totally honest here. There are a lot of folk out there who can sing. BUT to make your voice your livelihood you have to move up another 10 - 20 steps. Yeah, the winner will be coached for BUT there needs to be some real substance there to begin with. How many boring CDs can you bear?? Eliminate from the list below -
1. JS - can compose (I believe) and are OK singers. Very impressed that they delivered something really different last week.
2. Conways - are Irish - (end of story)
3.Nicholas - has lovely teeth-!!
4. Andy - nobody ever wants to see him emptying another dustbin again BUT that doesn't mean he should win. I don't think he really was a bin man anyway - he's way too smart - using a sob story?.
5. Shayne - would be unable to offer anything truly original.
6. Brenda - needs to vary her act a bit - audience getting a bit too much of same style.
7. Maria - see notes for Brenda - try something new and that will make you be remembered - like JS - GO FOR IT!
8. Chico - admired you're b....... Glad you have remained in the comp. so far. Now go!!!!! You'll get a break after this exposure.You reallly will.

I reckon it should be either Maria or Brenda to win anyway but I do agree with how you got down to these two. The 16-24's this year have been dreadful - the only X-Factor talent on the show is all of Sharon's group. I mean I'm no big fan of Chico but he is an entertainer and the stage loves him. So one of Sharon's groups should win (preferably Brenda)

All those things aside, the main thing is the votes of the viewers, and they can be very fickle. More females vote and sadly females seem to do badly in these sort of competitions.

All of the above may 'seem' necessary, but we are dealing with the GBP, not a rational animal.
