Hmm from those choices i think Shayne, journey south and Andy have the best songs this week for their voices. Id say one of those 3 will be performance of the night.

conways will definitley be in the bottom 2.

Nicholas will do a good job with that song.

Problem with the song selection for Nicholas is that it has been done to death on these shows. Maria doesnt seem happy with her choice at all yet and Shayne also needed a little convincing though he seems happy now. Journey South didnt sound that great though they will probably be better on the night and Conways Sisters sounded quite bland.

I was so close, i said Andy to sing I Believe I Can Fly (by R Kelly). I must have a psychic power inside of me i dont know about, lol i was so close.

I was also spot on about Shania leaving last week, i couldnt believe it. I bet Shayne goes this week.

There is a thread where you can choose which one of the final 8 singers which songs you would like them to sing. I said Andy for I believe i can fly.

Disappointing song choices!! Not very imaginative! It's funny because i suggested 'Satisfaction' on the other thread as a song for Brenda!!!

i dunno what arty means, i thought it sounded good!

They were a little out of tune and the vocal coach wanted the key changed as they seemed to have trouble with the high notes. Wouldnt be too shocked though. They will be fine come Saturday.

I don't like Shayne (more falsetto?!) or Andy's choices for this week. Will be interesting to see if their performances can change my mind about the songs...

Whew, got me a bit panicked there! For a moment I almost thought that m beloved JS boys weren' t going to be able to pull off THE BEST SONG IN THE WORLD come Saturday

I said in the song choices thread that Shayne should sing 'Cry Me A River'.
I just knew he was going to do that this week. Ah well, at least it's current. I would have preferred him to do 'A Million Love Songs' though. I love that song. Might have even made me like Shayne.

I'm not impressed with the song choices for Brenda, Maria, Nicholas and The Conways at all.

I think Andy will do really, really well this week. It's a cracking song (one of the best by Boyz II Men, beaten only be End Of The Road), and Andy's voice should do it justice.

I'm glad that Chico's doing a ballad, but surely they could have chosen a better one? Should be interesting though.

And as for JS, well, I'm really pleased. I've been saying for a while in the appreciation thread that I would love to hear them do it. They didn't sound amazing on 24/7, but this is their type of song, and I think they'll be spot on with it. Come on, boys!

i didnt think they sounded very good but to be fair they only showed a little clip of a high note goin wrong and not a lot else

I have a feeling with the way they were talking that Shayne will sing A Million Love Songs next week - all being well.

If he does do it, he will sail through to next week, and Simon loves this song. I remember one guy sang it on Pop Idol 2 (I think his name was Glenn) and Simon went wild over it. He was really, really good, but sadly didn't make it through to the finals.

Anyway, my point is that it's a great song, and I really think Shayne could impress me for the first time.
