Carnie and Wendy Wilson are the daughters of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and Chynna Phillips is the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas & the Papas.

found a wilson philips site with clips

Good song choices for Shayne, Brenda and Journey South

As for the Conways, I like the song they have been given to sing, and I think they have the best choice out of the lot. It's more suited to their voices.

Maria, has an interesting choice as does Andy. Nicholas, hopefully mr Non-descript will be gone, and Chico well this is the death of "chico-time" on Saturday night.

"You Might See Me Cry" is the best Wilson Phillips song, and it would have been great if the Conways sang this

Maria's song choice is awful, the song is just horrible in fact i think that it is rubbish. I am not looking forward to seeing the show on Saturday so much now that i have seen some of these bad song choices.

Brenda - I think this is going to sound fantastic... I don't see it going wrong at all.

Maria - I don't see this being a hugely memorable performance... I know she said Mariah isn't her, but I think she needs a belter to show everyone exactly what she can do.

Chico - It PAINS me to say this, but I did actually like what I saw of him... I didn't realise he actually could sing... perfect song choice for a ballad, I wonder if he can pull it off!

Nicholas - FINALLY a song that suits his voice... a bit of a dull and boring song but I think it's what he needs... a slow song where he can concentrate on hitting the right notes and putting emotion into it.

Shayne - I don't think a Take That song is right, I'd prefer him to go with CMAR which would be more memorable than another boring ballad.

Conway Sisters - I'm glad they're not trying to do a loud and powerful song, this time they can work on the harmonies properly rather than trying to out-shout each other. Not really sure what to make of it though, will have to wait and see.

Andy - I don't think I know this song but I like what I heard... I think he could give the performance of the night if he gets it right.

Journey South - I've wanted them to do a Bon Jovi song from the beginning and I LOVE this one... Shame Karl couldn't quite hit those notes but I'm sure they'll figure something out!

Should be an interesting show.. I think it'll be Conways and (I hate to say it) Maria in the bottom two.

Hmm from those choices i think Shayne, journey south and Andy have the best songs this week for their voices. Id say one of those 3 will be performance of the night.

conways will definitley be in the bottom 2.”

Funnily enough, my immediate reaction to the Conways song was that it was a good choice for them. I think they could do a good job of this. It's a good song in its own right - but I wonder how well it's known by the voting audience and if not being known very well might have a detrimental effect on the votes even if it was well performed.

Think Maria's are both bizarre choices, whichever one she does, and can't abide Nicholas's song, but then I'm not a fan of Nicholas so I guess it makes no difference!! Surprised at Brenda going for such a bland song...would have thought she'd be looking to up the ante this week....

Looking forward to hearing Chico's effort. Hope he pulls it off!

On 24/7 we could see Laura wasn't happy with the song.

No, Nicholas is not a singer at all. Hate that song and his flat tones will make it even worse.

Boring/rubbish choices all round.

Have to say this is a great song choice at last for Nicholas, If he fails to nail this song though, then he deserves to go

Dull & uninspired choices this week..

good choice for Brenda, will be interesting to her sing less of an uptempo belter, key week for her I feel.

Can't see it working for Andy, I just don't feel he will be able to deliver this song with the passion that it needs

Shayne.. yet another reedy, wet, falsetto bland piece of pap

Chico, really looking forwards to this.. he is going to murder that song look out for the rumble he does in his throat to disguise his useless voice - he'll do it all the time in this song

Not keen on JS's choice, especially after last week, predictable song that has been done to death, I suppose we can expect a guitar solo in it a la tabby. imo doesn't suit a duet, Andy will be going way over the top, harmonies will suffer.. however this song generally goes down well, so as long as they survive and come up with something better next week - i'll carry on supporting them.

Maria.. why? again trying to be different, again it wont work, why can't they give her the sort of songs that suit her voice - Mica Paris, Sade that sort of thing would be good

Nicolas will be his normal performance with UH's a plenty.. as usual will be slightly flat, hopefully he will go this week

CS - great choice for them, should have done this track earlier in the comp imo, I think all the negative press they have had lately and simons comments will mean they are in the bottom 2

I have a feeling that Chico will be safe this week, some people will think he sang the song well - instead of distracting with dancing he will instead use vocal growls and rrrrr's to cover up his voice..

I reckon:

Brenda - great choice, big song although it was originally sung with a lot of tenderness, so it will be interesting to see if Brenda carries that into it.

Andy - I hate, hate, hate this song, but good to see him doing a more recent track. Will properly stretch his range too, so probably a good choice.

Shayne - obvious choice, but probably good. We all know he can nail that falsetto stuff, so this will make all the girlies go weak at the knees again, gather lots of votes.

Chico - sounded good last night. A risk, but well worth it if he can pull it off.

Journey South - a choice that will undo all their good work from last week. The guitar playing one just doesn't have a strong enough voice.

Maria - if she can get her confidence up, an excellent choice. The only act showing any real diversity.

Nicholas - another song I hate, hate, hate. But his ballads have been the best performances, so could be a good move.

Conway Sisters - as unfashionable as it may be, I really like this song. I also know the harmonies inside out, and they ain't easy. I reckon they can do it though.

Im so glad Andy is doing this song, its a classic and I love it to death. Not sure how he will deliver it though, Im usually quite harsh on people who try and sing a Boyz II Men song as to me it is never half as good!
