V220 MMS Video?
If I send an MMS with attatched video to my friend will he be able to play it on his V220 phone? His phone supports MMS but he cant actually record video on his phone. Does this mean that he cant play back video too?

The V220 can play back video, so it should work. You are correct that the V220 cannot record video though. Edit: yes it will work- according to page 26 of the instructions Quote:
You can download video clips with the micro-browser and seb=nd and receive video clips in mutimedia messages

Hiya,
I tried sending the video to my friend but his phone said "Image too large" ? Do you know why this is? I am able to send picture MMS but this video didnt work... the size of the video is 52.67kb and the resolution is 176x144.

Sorry, don't know the answer to that one.
The V220 should have 1851kb of available space - maybe if your friend already has used up the space (i.e. has less than 52.67kb free) that would give the error. Get him to check the available free space. Menu>Multimedia>Videos>sub-menu>View free space |

Hiya,
My friends got enough free space- I phoned Virgin who told me that the V220 doesnt have MMS Video Playback despite it saying so on the Motorola Website They refunded me 30p and said I should try again tommorow because apparently the MMS and SMS had problems today.... Surely, the V220 can playback MMS if it says it can play videos on Moto's website.

The resolution has to be alot lower in order for it to play. I had this problem, but if you record the file or cut it down to a smalle resolution, he will be able to play it. Thanh |
