Is it just me or....

Don't get me wrong Shane is very talented but to be honest his looks are what i feel majority of viewers(maily teenage girls) are focusing on. If Shane is to win, i feel it will be down to his image and the fact that teengage girls have nothing better to do on a saturday night than vote for Shane. Can't you just picture them all on the phone together, round each others houses on a saturday night waiting for Shayne to come on. The thing that makes Shayne not as appealing as some of the other contestants is the fact that his whole image, (girls drooling over him) has been done before, like history repeating itself and Shayne winning is too predictable and cliche.

Maybe so, but little girls have always drooled over pretty boys. I remember it well - can't see it altering any time soon. Louis may have "always been convinced that a male was going to win" (Chenai) and that was probably down to voting trends thoroughly market researched after XF1, PI, Popstars, Fame Academy etc etc. They (the judges) go into this with their eyes open and no doubt expect to sacrifice most on the way in order to get "the one" who will reel in the most revenue the best exposure. It may be boring and repetitive to us oldies, but it's all new to the latest bunch of hormonal girly teenyboppers. How nice to have that idealistic innocence. Take me back there!!

Unless you discount the incomprehensible victories of Michelle McManus and Alex Parks over at least 4 more talented contestants in each series (not all male) and Girls Aloud's greater success compared to the far more talented One True Voice.
