All i know is that over the summer season this year, there were no pop acts at Pontins....oh, hang on a minute, i believe The Real Thing were there but they are hardly a big current act are they?

I have been to The Bedford many times and would say that it is one of the best (if not the best) music venues I have been to. The sound quality there is excellent.
I was there on the night they had Pete Townsend there..... a great night!

Must again stress to one and all that these great acts are on at BUTLINS and not PONTINS were you may see Joe Pasquale if you are exceptionally lucky!!!!
Awww I wish I was going to the Bedford, i would've loved to have seen him. Never mind, I hear you can watch the show on webcam, so that'll have to do for me. It still beggars belief how some people are still so bitter after all this time. Oh well let them get on with it
It's usually only Butlins at Minehead that gets the bigger stars. Bognor Regis and Skegness tend to get leftovers as far as I understand.

This show has nothing on Pop Idol ONE I doubt any show will ever have that edge. I do not dislike Steve I just think he is boring.. he does totally nothing for me.. he did NOT fight.. had he wanted to do an album of his own he should have gone and asked WILL how do I do this.. maybe Will could have told him.. If the arrangements are as last year and Simon Cowell signs up the winner .. then it will be covers all the way.. soppy covers.. If its Louis who signs them it will be covers that sold £££ as thats his formula lol. After that .. will it be the pub circuit? Who knows.. it depends on lots of different factors. I just hope whoever wins they get the chance to do some original material which will ensure they continue to evolve and be successful.

They are there on different evenings.
Steve Brookstein is there on Tuesday 22nd November and it will be on the webcam.
Apparently Keifer is there on 29th December but it isn't in the listings yet. I think it's also an event that isn't open to the general public. Not sure if this will be on the webcam but you could try it anyway

I no longer have time to keep abreast of what is happening with Steve so thanks for the update. I'm still a fan and if he comes out with an album, then I'll definitely be interested. I'm also very pleased to hear that he is happier now than he has been over the past year.
