Try wiping the contacts between sim and phone and making sure the sim is correctly seated into position.
I sometimes get this on one of my phones (not the nokia one). |

This message could also mean that your phone has been IMEI barred, at any time in the last week or so have you reported the phone lost/stolen to O2 at all?
Be worth asking o2 to check the IMEI number if the usual sim checks fail. However could be faulty phone / faulty sim or just something as simple as dust and scum on the pins /sim face. |
