I just don't get this love of Shayne at all - okay he's alright looking but if his series highlight is the Daniel Bedingfield week, god help him...I'm looking for a bit more in an X Factor winner than the ability to sing the song exactly like the original artist....

Aren't you confusing Timberlake's Cry Me A River with the Ella Fitzgerald song of the same name?

From what's been said, I assume Shayne will be trying to bluff his way through the former. The latter is the one that's had hundreds of covers.

I hate Cry Me A River song its so sad and depressing oh and boring. I think Shayne might go this saturday, well i got my fingers crossed!

Hold on for one more day, hmmmm....

Could the Conways be trying to plead with the public even before the start singing, now that is desperate.

I actually knew there was another song called thatbut i thought the Sam cooke and Harry conick Jnr songs were the same as the Timberlake one. I've deffinatly heard a piano version of the JT song sung by someone else but it must have been done after him.

Why would you think that the 2 songs have nothing in common apart from the title..

Ah - yes there was that one, but I made some even funnier comments with regards to G4 singing it a few months back - here it is, sit back and enjoy my comic genius

Shayne Ward is crap, don't buy the hype and certainly don't buy his records. May he live in the bargain bins at Woolworths.

Good riddance to baaaaaaaad rubbish.
Whereas you come across as such a sweet thing?

Re-read your post and keep in mind the word "arrogant" and then form a sentence using the words: POT, KETTLE, BLACK.

If I had a choice of meeting "arrogant" shayne or you, I know which one I would feel safer meeting.

Indeed! The old standard goes:

"Well you can cry me a river, cry me a river.
cos I cried a river over you."

Whereas Justin Trousersnake's one is completely different and goes:

Ultrasonic mode ON:
"Cry me a river Oooo Ahh yeah yeah grunt grunt ooo uh!"

But how safe would Shayne feel?

I can't stand this song either. But people, and the judges forget and always compare the singer to the original singer. It isnt Stars in their eyes. They are singing a song and making it their own. It doesnt matter if he doesnt sing as well as JT. As long as he sings like Shayne, stays in and gets a better song next week.

I hate the song too-it makes me laugh. I actually find it pathetically funny. I think Shayne's in danger of being in the bottom two this week.....

How many people said she should sing this song? The guy just can't win, he doesn't sing it, people complain. He does, and people still complain!

I reckon his performance is gonna be great tomorrow if it's anything like the soundcheck.

Could this be part of the master plan? Give Shayne some samey, average songs to perform for a number of weeks THEN hit the public with a WOW performance when people are fed up of the same old stuff. ARE THE SONG CHOICES TACTICAL? When do the mentors get their acts to give of their best?

No, he looked and sounded like JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE....
It takes real talent to copy somebody elses vocals and dance moves...
Oh look, and it's a Justin song too....

If he looked like Justin Timberlake, something must have gone horribly wrong since last Saturday.
