After us holding on for six years, we finally got our grant back. Now he's left i'm feeling a bit sad. I loved his return. He might be back in Jan. But even so. I'd love him back full time. Can anyone confirm if this might happen jan stint is his last? and the same for frank at christmas is that his last?

I'm not that sad about him leaving for some reason at the moment, maybe it's because he's meant to be coming back in january.

Is it definitely january when he comes bacK? I was hoping he ws going to rekindle something with sharon, but i guess that wont happen. He'll arrive just as she leaves.

i will really miss him, he plays grant so well. He's quite sexy too.

I've never seen him in the show before, as I only started watching it after he left. I really wasn't looking forward to the big return, but I'm actually slightly sad he's not staying longer. I much prefer him to Phil!

Yeah I'm going to miss him, since he came back I haven't missed an episode, whereas before, it didn't matter if I missed a few.

I loved his exit last night - the way he just disappeared into thin air as Phil was talking to him. I hope he stays for longer when he comes back in January!

I haven't really enjoyed any EE until tonight's... and I'm sad he's gone. Seemed a good and yet wasted opportunity...

I think the biggest bonus to come out of Grant's return was how much more fleshed-out () Phil's character became (although I agree that they're arrogant so-and-so's.)

Now he's left, I fear that Phil and Peggy will revert to one-dimensional characters and we'll just be left with Peggy hobbling about behind the bar and Phil thumping Ian every few weeks, which is not something I relish.

Let's hope not.

You didn't think then that he was just a little less arrogant, and a little less of a bully this time around? And that the scenes where he and Phil were sending themselves up made them a little more human and vulnerable??

I did - to be honest, that was the highlight of the bruv's return for me.

Those scenes in particular were brilliantly well written, I thought.

I thought it made the characters much more 3-dimensional, much more lifelike. Just shows what can be done with a decent scriptwriter (thanks TJ.)

It's a shame that he's gone. Eastenders has become VERY watchable since his return. At least Phil and Peggy are sticking around at the Vic.
I liked his exit. A sudden disappearance when Phil's back was turned. It worked very well.

Not that sad...I like Grant, but prefer him on his own rather than with Phil. The scenes where they gang up and bully Ian make me want to switch over. OK, Ian's a tart, but there's only so many times you can watch the Beetroot and the Turnip push Squeal Beale around on his own 'manor'. Get rid of Phil, and bring back Grant full time. Not that Ross would want to.
