Eastenders questions!
1. Why do Sharon and Dennis think the pub is theirs to sell? Didn't Chrissie legally own half before helping herself to the rest?
2. Why does Kat think Zoe and Stacey are in the clear? Chrissie could still change her mind and tell the truth about Zoe and plenty more could come out at her trial. Plus Stacey obviously lied! 3. Would the police really let Chrissie invite guests before choosing when to be interviewed? And surely she's not stupid enough to say all that without a solicitor present! |

Maybe Chrissie gave Sharon her half of the Vic while they were talking in the police station? Obviously the paperwork would be done later.
Kat's one sandwich short of a picnic. Maybe, I don't know and Yes, Chrissie is stupid enough. |

I was going to post the same about Stacey. Lying to the police and causing all that hassle does not mean you are in the clear, far from it, she could go to jail for what she did.
Also Jake knew she killed Den (even on tape talking about it) and he even tried to help her escape the country, and he is FREE to walk ? Is that the law ? I know there is such a thing as artistic license in soaps, but that is taking the biscuit. Also are they finally going to do Janine's trial ? Where I think Pat lied too. |

I think possibly, Stacey could be done for wasting police time (maybe perverting the course of justice - but not sure on that one) - other than that don't think she would be charged. Maybe Jake could be done for accessory after the fact? Pat, I think, will be called as a witness at Janine's trial |

With the happy scenes of celebration at the Slaters, and Kat telling Stacey she deserves a holiday, it looks to me as though the writers think they've neatly tied up the story of Stacey's involvement. But of course, not only should she be arrested, but she should be questioned as to why she invented her alibi - which inevitably brings in Zoe - and Kat. Also not mentioning Zoe puts Chrissie in even deeper trouble, and I can't see why she would do that.
And, yes, Jake should be arrested too. |

Well almost everyone in the Square knew Den was murdered before the police did so really, everyone should be in jail - Chrissie, Zoe, Sam, Kat, Stacey, Jake... the list will go on! But seeing as Johnny was never brought to justice over murdering Andy and Janine was wrongfully accused of killing Laura, then it seems the everyone will get off scott-free!!

I was just saying on another thread, Stacey can technically be charged with 'Perverting the Course of Justice' but it would be very unlikely that the police would charge her with this.
She is not a repeat offender, has no major criminal record that we are aware of (although she has had run-ins with the police - the mugging etc.) but as nothing came of that, it wouldn't affect her record. She also didn't stand to gain financially from her lie, and hence, the police would probably treat her as a naive youngster, regardless of her headstrong ways... Police can reserve judgement in cases like this. |
