In general, the recordings management seems quite lacking to me. Surely the main function of a PVR is to manage recordings?
On the Humax you can pull up a programme guide with one button (good), but whether the guide is actually populated or not depends on how long the box has been turned on, and which Muxes you've been using (v.bad!).
You can then select programmes easily for recording (good), but you may well miss the odd minute off the start or end (v.bad).
You can pull up a list of recordings, except there are two ways to do this (why?). One route needs multiple button presses (bad) and has some pretty unintuitive steps - please explain to me why "OK" naturally invokes "delete" in this screen when it invokes "play" on the other? (v.bad). Please also explain why when you push the "play" button you still need to push yet one more button to get a full screen picture (bad). The second route requires a single button press (good), except the button is small (bad), and hidden under a flap (v.bad). And when you get this list up, the programme names (nothing else) are in faded text, which is hard to read (v.bad); there is also no status info for whether you've actually watched a recording (bad), and there is no easy way to delete a recording (v.bad).
I'm afraid I think the replay ergonomics simply haven't been thought through very well. Given the obvious quality elsewhere in the design, this is more than a little frustrating. Don't get me wrong, we love our '9200s. It's just that as long term Humax fans we expect high quality throughout.

Good stuff quesionmark. I've not realy paid that part of the GUI as much thought, but having gotten used to the Fusion being a little bit querky on some things, thats probably why. I've been thinking about your views and its got me thinking about what could be improved in this area. That'll have to be for another post - I'm a bit rushed this morning.
Quite a few people (17 on this thread) have asked for it to be possible to be able to delete from within the playlist which is telling. From what I can tell about the logic in the layout: the playlist button gives quick access to your recordings for playback - thats it, laid over whatever your watching. And for doing stuff to recordings they've put that in a section of its own through the menu, like deleting recordings/editing them, with a little preview screen.
I couldnt go as far as saying if that is v.good or if its v.bad but as long as its simple, consistant and it works I'm not too fussed. But I would really like to be able to delete from within the playlist menu.
By the way, I can see what you were saying now earlier about the greyed out stuff - I mustnt have read it properly.
As Calamero pointed out you can move the transparancy from 25% to either 50%, 75% or Disabled. I havent changed these settings before though I always knew you could. But I must say its difficult to read at times and can see you point about the grey text of the programme name - it should be the same as the rest of the menu which is easy to read. I suppose there is an option to disable the transparancy, which works well - have you given this a try? - You can read all the text OK but its not transparant. The good thing though is thats its overlaid on top of whatever your watching. I cant help feeling though that for the sake of changing the colour of the font from grey that might solve this as a issue.
