On 24/ 7 this week Chico excitedly told the cameras he was singing this song and dedicating it to the one love in his life who meant everything to him. He was animated.. happy.. nothing at all to suggest it was a death bed song .Now according to this weeks Reveal.. the love of his life and still close friend is ex girlfriend Lisa. ...

Sheesh...every week with Chico its one story then another story.. first his house was being repossessed, then he was devastated beyond belief etc etc.. I dont believe a half of it.. its one publicity plug for sympathy votes after another. If he is so good then why all this woe woe sob story stuff?

I saw the story by accident in the Sun today, and thought, Oh dear, that's not going to go down well, knowing how people run him down anyway and how people got fed up with Chenai going on about her brother. However, I think people will vote on his performance, and the haters are never going to vote for him anyway. If he performs well tomorrow, I think he'll get enough support to stay in

Chico is pure sleaze. For Cheeko read Cheapo. Sleazo, Yuko etc. He is absolutely awful for God's sake. BTW this is my first, and, without doubt, last year of X factor viewing. I cannot believe the level of crapness which gets through. There are some good acts there - but OMG the other rubbish! Is this really the best of British talent? Sorry, but it's Friday night, bad week at work and had a few glasses of wine. Probably a bit OTT but, he's pretty bad and I just feel he's pulling this card out at the time best suited to him.

If he's truly awful, he'll be on his way - sick friends or not. If he performs well, then he should stay in. Quite honestly, there's not one of them that would make me rush out and buy a CD and the Conway Sisters last week and their cast of thousands? Yuck.

He's not the one who pulled the card out though, so to blame him is rather unfair

Clarinda, Chico is not bad but perhaps not your glass of wine. It would be a boring place if we liked the same things. Imagine if clothes shops sold just one colour, how boring that would be. Imagine saying to someone that their clothes sucks, now that's not a nice thing to say eventhough you would never wear it even if they paid you to. I didn't like Chico at the start, but I warmed to him. The same thing happened to me two years ago. I saw a musician on a show and I gratually warmed to him and I've been his fan eversince. IT is after all for entertainment and fun. BUt still these are human beings we'r talking about so we have to watch we say so as not to hurt their or their fans feeling.

Weirdly, I have warmed to Chico. The first week at the auditions, I thought "My God, what a w****r! Please don't let him get through. Oddly, over the subseqent weeks, I've ended up thinking that he really has a place in Show Biz - perhaps not in pop music - more probably in Las Vegas where, I think, they would appreciate his brand of showmanship a lot. I think his future is there.

I'm more certain that Chico is going to have a showbiz career, than I am about who is going to win the X Factor

Even more similar thoughts. Chico is pure sleaze? Yes. That was the first impression. No doubt about it. But then something very strange happened. A lot of people on this forum were posting comments saying that this was a big-hearted guy who was a lot more interesting than the goatherder/stripper caracature that was presented to the public early on. And then we had/still have another forum member who always calls Chico "a chancer". What does that mean?????The biggest chancer in recent pop history was Madonna. She could hardly sing. She was broke. She had no obvious talent other than as a dancer. But she had an incredible desire to be famous and fought, hustled, pestered her way into the music industry. If somone is desperate to succeed that is infectious. On Saturday (Today!) Chico is singing possibly the greatest love song of recent years. Can you imagine any of the (other)remaining guys in the contest singing Hero? I have tried but I can't get past the first line where Andy is concerned.

OMG happy girl. Glad the glass of wine has not made me immune to patronising crap!! Sorry, I'm not living in Stepford and didn't know we had to protect contestants feelings and say "nice" things. If Chico makes it he'll have to put up with a lot worse - so let's say I'm giving him good training.
