Slept her way, she admitted that

Not gonna bother too much about analysing feedback and some truely sad comments. But, still think it's a bit dodgy that the "dedication" song comes at such a crucial time. Stating facts - Chico really has to pull something different out of the bag to stay in this week. If it's genuine good on him. If it's a ploy to gain votes .............

Well, considering everything else he's sung thus far has been up tempo, I doubt that a dedication has really fitted in with the the sentiments of those tunes.

Pah there is no pleasing some people! And it was me offering you my hand of friendship, forgot how vindictive some people can be

Don't bother to reply back, I won't be reading it.

I can't believe what has been happening on this thread tonight.....whatever is wrong with people. You really would think that Chico had committed a terrible crime against humanity!

Having just belated read in the paper today that apparently Jamie Oliver slit the throat of a live lamb on television last night, I find that to be far more affecting to my sensibilities.

I know Gillypoots I know I did my ranting earlier got it out of my system now (I think) but the man hasn't done anything wrong!! He doesn't have to though he's just a fun entertaining guy and for some reason people don't like that

Some really interesting lines of discussion here - best one of the night is - signinstrange.

Are you seriously comparing Chico to Madonna?

You have to remember that this is a discussion forum and that means there will be contributors who hold different views from yours. You may not like their views, but they must be allowed to express them. Just because someone takes a different view from you, perhaps a more sceptical view, that does not mean that there is something wrong with them or that they are vindictive.

She did what she had to to get where she is

And Clarinda she doesn't call other artists names

She is more professional than that

Granted lulu g but we are allowed to disagree with their views and express our opinions too, and some of them are vindictive

Every show of this type seems to have a contestant that everybody loves to hate........it now seems as though desperation and exasperation combined has set in, just because he seems to be presenting himself successfully on television and the haters seem to be intent on continually pulling him down.

It is quite laughable really because this forum isn't the centre of the Universe and very few people comparative to those who watch the programme, will even know that these things are being said.

I enjoy contributing but I stop short now of getting involved with anyone who is just out to cause disruption. All that happens very frequently is an entertaining thread is spoilt.

True true and I will learn, but I was so mad tonight because I didn't even know of this story.

I know how people can be, I live in a town like Chenai does, luckily I live in the 'nicer' area (I'm sure most of us live in or near these sort of areas). But I hate this nastiness towards someone they don't know and it riles me.

I know what you mean though, sometimes I ignore comments too because it is just laughable, they call someone names, nasty sometimes, and they don't even know the person.

I must admit Gillypoots I admire your restraint, but love ya cos you do it in other ways

Well, as they say Mel......there's more than one way to skin a cat!

I hasten to add that no animals were harmed during this endeavour!!

Well my bitch is a 12 stone beauty....a Neopolitan Mastiff. We originally had her sister as well, but sadly she had to be put to sleep a couple of years ago, as she suffered with bone cancer in her front leg.

I expect you're like me in that you find animals a lot better than humans at times.

Oh that's awful (((hugs))) my dad went through similar with his 15 year old dog so I know where you're coming from

Yes I am the little overgrown rat lookalike is my baby, she is so loyal and sweet.

My other half said I should work for the RSPCA but I pointed out that I would want to take them all home with me, and he agreed it wasn't a good idea

And then we had/still have another forum member who always calls Chico "a chancer". What does that mean?????The biggest chancer in recent pop history was Madonna. She could hardly sing. She was broke. She had no obvious talent other than as a dancer. But she had an incredible desire to be famous and fought, hustled, pestered her way into the music industry. If somone is desperate to succeed that is infectious. On Saturday (Today!) Chico is singing possibly the greatest love song of recent years. Can you imagine any of the (other)remaining guys in the contest singing Hero? I have tried but I can't get past the first line where Andy is concerned.”

Well, sranger things can happen. I thought he was a right t**t but we'll see. I'd like to see him succeed. Mind you, if he doesn't - but there you go.

Look at it this way, while people are being spiteful and vindictive and mean and offensive (or to put it another way daring to have opinions that are diametrically opposed to MINE ) HERE they are not out mugging old ladies or kicking small furry animals out THERE.

As far as I'm concerned (short of actual libel) the judges and contestants are fair game, they put themselves up there in the public eye and have therefore lost their right to bitch and whine about the public speculating or criticising or misunderstanding them. If I want to say 'X is a no talent slimeball and should do us all a favour and drown him/herself in a bucket' that's my opinion.
So telling me I'm harsh and unfeeling because I don't KNOW him/her and he/she may not really be like that or that he/she's only 18 and has a sick granny is a waste of time because you don't KNOW him/her either so YOU aren't going to change my mind.
As far as the posters here go if I disagree with an opinion I reserve the right to say so and if they choose to take my views on this or another contestant personally and get nasty about it then I will get nasty right back at them. OK?

More coffee.

That's fine, whatever floats your boat!

I just don't see the need to resort to playground tactics of name calling and being abusive but if that's what makes people feel better so be it. Doesn't mean I have to agree with it
