No ....

That would indeed be using playground tactics and is against the forum rules which would probably see you being banned too ...

Are you seriously comparing Chico to Madonna?

No. I'm not that daft. I was discussing the word "Chancer" which has been used to attack Chico.

Tomorrow, that would be my risk to take it seems to me. But don't misunderstand me while I will always defend myself and my views vigorously it would take an awful lot to make me feel strongly enough about anything posted here to make me resort to playground tactics and get really nasty.

What I was trying to say in my own roundabout and – admittedly – flippant way, and I wasn't having a go Melanie34, is that no one should get all bent out of shape about any opinions that are posted here about the acts nor should they take those opinions personally, it just seems to me some people DO take them way too personally.

Look one word of advice, if you look for the negative you are bound to find it in anyone. None of us Chicoites is saying Chico is perfect but you have taken the curiosity to the fullest. Who gives you the right to sit in judgement? hah?

Actually I named the sources for my information in my posting.. namely the 24/7 programmes shown on Tuesday and Reveal magazine. I dont go looking for stories on Chico.. far from it.. but the hype and publicity he encourages inevitably means he gets the publicity he craves. His worse fear is being forgotten or ignored.. he let that slip in an earlier programme. Ok he can entertain.. but he is not everyone cup of tea and I much prefer champagne to tea!

I wasn't sitting in judgement and I think you have over reacted to what was a straightforward posting. This is a public forum and we are all entitled to express our own thoughts / opinions or as I have done.. add some facts into the equation. Attacking someone for a straightforward post is defensive and immature.

These kinda shows always pull stunts of this kind ... Strictly Dance Fever was amazing for this - they make X-factor look like beginers!
Whether it's Chico or Chenai or Andy (or Brenda and her daughters birthday party) they will always go for the tug at the heart strings - to be honest it's getting a bit ho hum now - it's just another part of the formula they have to put in and it dosen' t make me think any more or less of Chico.
Like I said before, I just hope they cleared it with the lady concerned before her name and illness was featured in the papers.

If I am being honest then yes, I did over react last night but so did most people. It is immature yes I agree but I am glad that I still have that sense of naivity in me. Like a child I live and like a child I love.

But what if he sings the song badly, surely most people judge on performance on the night when it comes down to it?

The opinions that are taken personally are the insults. Myself and Melanie have been accused variously of being Chico's mum, girlfriend, granny, sister, and even Chico himself, just because we have supported Chico.
