Something different?

What if.....

What if the judges were given the three categories and chose a final three from each category?

And then, the producers chose an act from each of the categories and each judge had one of each?

Would this show the skills of the judges as mentors and managers any better?

It just seems to me that Simon got the worst bunch this year (apart from JS).

Would this be fairer?

I think it would make the show more interesting and less about the judges.

What an interesting idea.. one that I think would work as well.. and Simon has himself to blame for his dire lot.. he wanted bad groups as he thought Louis was getting them.. ha ha.. but he has Journey South who could still win.. and it would stretch the judges a little more as well.. and not hopefully be so much about them.

Yeah...I think that idea could work well. Each judge would need to try and get the best out of each set of finalists...then the evil producers SHOULD then pick the acts out of a hat, at random. Not this planned malarky.

Personally I think the whole judges competing to win spoils the outcome. They should be concentrating on ensuring the best act wins - that isn't necessarily the one in their category.
