A housemate summary IMHO:

1. Alex: apart from being anal and occasionally amusing has bitched as much as anyone else about pretty much everyone else... generally has just one trusted bitching partner (sandy, adele, tim) so people don't realise how much he slags people off... causes trouble (ie telling Kate all about what Jade said without mentioning how much he bitched about her too!).. clearly also easily led in his opinions of others by his trusted bitching partner of the time

2. Jade... well it's all pretty much been said hasn't it? Takes being two-faced to new heights (only pipped at the post by Adele whose u-turns made me dizzy) and had a truly disastrous relationship with the demon drink... and that baby voice. and the screeching.

3. PJ - intelligent and playing quite a clever game without as much overt bitching as other people but truly horrendous treatment of women (see PJ thread in this forum) which cannot be excused (viz. ex-girlfriend beating incident)

4. Tim - apart from being the most vain man ever to walk to earth (and for so little reason - he must be short-sighted), he's also a stuck-up ****. and his racist joke last night (see Tim joke thread) was despicable. absolutely no excuse for it. makes me mad just thinking about it!.

5. Kate - well she seems the nicest so far, although doubts have been raised over her behaviour in the stripping game so far.. but still, let's give her the benefit of the doubt for now.

6. Jonny - another man up for debate - people seem to love him or hate him, but he certainly runs a nice line in self-obsession and paranioia... at best a self-centred ok sort of bloke, at worst a self-obsessed wannabe actor who has no time for anyone else except for purposes of self-advancement

7. Adele - well she's gone but she really was a manipulative bitch. in the nicest possible way of course!

8. Sandy - hardly the nicest guy ever - just wandered round being superior to everyone else

9. Lee, sophie, spencer - all relatively inoffensive but now all gone!

So we are left with a group of mostly horrible people! how did this happen? Other BBs had Brian, Helen, Paul, Darren, Anna, Craig etc who may have been irritating but were saints compared to most of these guys! even narinder would have been practically mother teresa (or should that be heinstein?) compared to adele!!

so it makes for good viewing but at the same time i yearn for the innocent years of BB past... when people did actually seem to like each other a bit some of the time.. sigh. what do other people think?

ALMOST totally agree with you, tho:
point 1, Alex did tell Kate that he had bitched about her, even told her how, when and why.
Point 5. Kate realised it had gone too far and (with Alex, covered Jade up when she had her arse in the air. Jade was furious with her!
Other than that I think you are spot on!

IMO the only nice HMs were:

1. Alison- although she left after 2 weeks so we don't know if she had a nasty side.

2. Sophie - niceness was her downfall (and dullness).

3. Sunita - although didn't have the social skills to bond with this particular group of nutcases.

would have said Kate but have been seeing her in a new light recently ...kissing Alex ...listening to too many other peoples views instead of formulating ones of her own ....and admitting to being a "female jonny" .then last nights striptease ...infact still probably the worst of a bad bunch .....
I voted spence out and could cut off my fingers for doing so .....Had fun when he needed to (the choccy stealing) slightly anti BB authority ..not a sheep...and compassionate towards his HM's ....in hindsight he'd be my winner ..
Or Sophie who I liked from day one and couldnt see why everyone else didnt ...but ..
the rest ...nooooooooo.

I left out Sunita, Alison and Lynn simply because they left too early for us to know what they were really like! and i agree that Kate is best of bad bunch. still, seeing as how BB has been going we'll probably find out that she eat babies for breakfast and then spends her days torturing seal pups..

I pretty much agree with all you have said.

I've just found this site and have been addidicted all morning. Pleased to see its not just me who doesn't like PJ. His one track mind and talk of sex is disturbing.He has been manipulative all the way through.It was his chat through the bars to Jonny that triggered the whole 'Jade thing' and led to Adele's nomination. That was played for and got. I didn't object to her chatting to Alex about the others..we all do that with our confidantes...but of course her giggles and bitching about Sophie and as you put it her constant U turns on her opinions of the others left me cold. I didn't want her voted out though...as I thought that her staying in would be the only way PJ would be nominated....but luckily I was wrong about that.

Alex is not really my type of person, I certainly couldn't live with him. (And yes, you are right ,he couldn't and wouldn't want to live with me either).But I do feel he is genuine and true to himself...even if he can't make up his own mind about people! Pretty harmless though.

Tim..definately manipulative..and remember his efforts to incite rebellion in the house without getting involved himself.

Jonny has worried me from the beginning. Changed his image after Alison left. Spent a week on the rich side but didn't have much time for his 'poor' housemates then. Chats to others about how they feel..a useful way to gain information about all the other HM, and why ,when he smiles , do his eyes dart about everywhere instead of smiling too? Worst of all is the nomination whinge..you can't nominate me, not for me you understand, but for my poor parents who have to travel down every week. As a BB fan, he knew what was involved for his parents if he was nominated, so why put them through it if that's how he really felt? Oh, and on Saturdays 'task' he was very definate it was not going to be him up for nomination..the tone of voice told all.

Of them all I prefer Kate. She is just being herself..and didn't whinge about being kept on the poor side or being up for nomination twice in a row. Let us not forget she didn't hesitate to gamble in an effort to bring down the bars and didn't bemoan her fate when she failed.

My opinions on the housemates have been in an almost constant state of fluctuation. My favourites however are Kate and Alex. I didn't much like Kate at first, her personality hadn't really shone through until Spencer's departure and she has really come into her own. I quite liked Jonny at first, happy to give him the benefit of the doubt (he seemed quite inoffensive!) but lately his paranoia and self obsession have started to grate on me and I'm beginning to think Adelle might've had a point (although I wouldn't have put it nearly as horribly!). Jade I have tried to like but just can't!!! PJ would have been ok - he seems to be pretty sensible about most things - but his attitude towards women puts him pretty near the bottom of the pile in my estimation. Tim - well the less I say about Tim the better as it would be all very vitriolic!!! Alex has his annoying little ways but basically I think he's one of the good guys and is refreshingly unladdish for a bloke of his age and good looks. He is a bit easily influenced by undesirables but seems to work them out in the end (apart from maybe Adelle!)
