Really like last nights show, although I was disappointed we didn't get a show dance, I'd have far prefered it to the guest singers if they had to drop one because of time restraints. I think the right decision was made and Dennis had to go, although I've loved him on the show. As to next week, Will's so erratic (although very harshly marked this week), that he's probably in danger again unless he gets a big score, after that..... who knows, I think it'll be a shocker every week, unlike last year when you did know who was going every week, until the semi when Aled went before Julian (and yes, it still annoys me )
I'm so glad it's not just me! I still haven't recovered from that!

I think it was the right time for Dennis to go.

Zoe and Ian remain my favourites, they've got an extra 'thing' that the other couples just don't seem to possess. I expected to like Colin the best but Zoe's edged it for me so far. I like Colin too and James and Darren are always good to watch.

I don't like Patsy. I don't know if she whinges as much as she appears to from what they show of the rehearsals but she seems to need constant babying. I feel sorry for Anton - I also think he was looking a bit fed up last night but maybe that's because he doesn't like the dance.”

Your favourites and mine are identical - but as much as I adore the total package of Zoe and Ian, I really thought Colin and Erin were the biz this week.

What I didn't like at all this week was rushed and second-rate production of the results show .. the shameless playing of the sympathy card for Bill - and the over-hyped 'friendship' between Zoe and Patsy .. it seemed to me that neither of them was a good enough actress to pull it off.

I don't like Patsy either and I felt absolutely mortified for Anton when she made that tasteless crack about doing the best she could with 'Austin Powers here' - I think (I didn't tape it) that during her comments Arlene warned her, quite sternly, to 'listen to Anton'.

I can't recall if Anton did a samba with Lesley (his best partner in my opinion) but when dancing with her, he usually managed to perform beautifully in Latin - so what's wrong here?

One thing I was pleased about was that Dennis left .. he seemed like a decent enough bloke and worked hard, but every time I saw him dance with Izabella I was irresistably reminded of 'The tortoise and the hare'!

Pity anyone has to go from the series now. Poor Dennis - he tried his best but it was a bit like daddy dancing at a family wedding. Will be quite sad no matter which couple gets the boot next week. Worried for Patsy unless she gets her act together next week. Think all the remaining couples are v entertaining but not sure that any have the sparkle that Jill and Darren and Denise and Iain and Aled and Lilia had last year.

Finally someone is talking some sense around here! Completely agree about Lesley being Anton's best partner. They were amazing together. And yes, they did dance a samba together. It wasn't their best dance but I don't recall Anton moaning and saying he didn't like the samba. In fact they looked like they were having lots of fun!

Patsy did say that about "Austin Powers" and I don't think it went down too well with Anton!! Nice to see Lesley in the audience though. Bring her back!!

Yes their performance was excellent.

Yes his injury is getting a lot of attention. Mind you that ankle did look sore.

Couldn't agree more!

Yes, it sound quite ungracious didn't it? I wonder how she'd react if he made a less than flattering comment about her like that on the night?

Can't remember now, but it's good advice.

Yes, I was always put in mind of dads dancing at weddings! As you say though a decent bloke and he did look as if he enjoyed it and didn't whinge like certain other people!

The pair of them can do much better than that and on their night they can be amazing. I really hope she stays in and they pick themselves up next week because normally they are a joy to watch.”

What do we expect when you have a ballroom master up against a load of latin experts ( that said I think Ian handles both equally)

There was no preofessionla dance last night becasue a piece was recorded for Children in Need ( Northern Ireland) with Gloria Hunniford and Dennis Taylor!!

I have to say that I thought Zoe deserved her marks, she is a very natural dancer. And I don't think her and Patsy are being forced, they are the only girls left in, it is natural to be supportive of each other.

I liked Colin and Erin, but he lost the timing quite a few times. There were parts of their dance when they both did moves to the camera and he was a couple of beats ahead of Erin.

Thought they were all v harsh on Will (same marks as Dennis??) and that James and Camilla were great.

Well done to Bill, he's such a sweetie!!!

I think Arlene said that she should leave the music choice to Anton, and that he should not let her near that again

No idea what that was about!

Thanks for clarifying that, Dulcinea ... as I said in my post, I wasn't quite certain what had been said, but I knew the tone of voice was quite reproving. My husband warned me that I might misquote Arlene as I had had a few glasses of champagne (all right - sparkling wine) and was indulging myself by shouting abuse at Pasty via the telly at the time!

Oh, and rather than post twice - can I use this one to thank Ferrari Red for the interesting and focused comments on my comments .. it's really nice to be 'waved' to!

I'm new to the forum but its nice to finally post after reading all your comments.

I have found the whole Anton and Patsy thing very interesting. Anton, who has always previously danced with older women and appeared very confident and gallant, is now looking anxious and ragged round the edges especially before performing and when being interviewed by Tess after the dance. I like Anton and think he is a terrific dancer and a great showman (with a fab sense of humour) but Patsy's cheeky Cockney shtick has certainly done something to him.

Having said all that I think a little glimpse of vulnerability under the flashing white teeth is no bad thing. Makes him a little more human. But has anyone else any thoughts on all this?

I agree, I much prefer the Anton who seems bemused and confused, to the manically grinning Anton, he really does seem to struggle to understand her at all

For some reason, I've neglected to come on here since Saturday

So ... my opinion on Saturday's show:

- I definitely thought that Zoe & Ian weren't as good as the judges scored them. There were moments when I felt Zoe was a little unsure of her next move, which made the whole thing 'jar' slightly for me.

- Despite Bill's ankle injury, he was exceptionally brave, even if he was disappointed with his own performance. I'm glad that the judges gave him credit for getting out there and dancing.

- Colin & Erin's samba was good but as a few of you have said, Erin's lack of experience in the Latin field (no slight to her, she's a ballroom dancer is all I mean) really showed. Also, I was kind of distracted by Colin's sparkly pink top, to be honest

- I really didn't think Will was all that bad. I'm no dancer, but I can usually tell when someone's dancing badly and for me, Will wasn't.

That's all from me

Len said she should let Anton make the music choice next time. In the training clip beforehand, Anton has his hands over his ears saying 'No, No!' to the music and Patsy dancing around saying that it's good, so I think she basically chose the music, but cos Len thought that their routine lacked rhythm, that this effected it?? Poss?

Well Len's on ITT tomorrow so maybe we'll hear more abt what he meant.

I like Zoe, I'm rooting for her to be in the final, but the way the judges are always so enamoured of her performance almost makes me judge her more harshly.”

Exactly and as for people picking on Anton his samba wasnt at fault but unlike the women pros he cant really let rip as he has to lead Patsy around I think they were harshly judged compared to Gods gifts Ken and Barbie remember his dark hair to fit in with Denise Crawler

James & Camilla were my favourites. I hope they go all the way!! I also really like Darren & Lilia and Zoe & Ian. I love Will & Hanna, bless them!! Don't they just make you want to give them both a hug? I have a horrible feeling they may go next week but I hope they don't.

I want Patsy to go. Her attitude's annoying my like it's obviously annoying Anton. She doesn't seem to understand how seriously she needs to take it. If I was Anton, trying to teach someone something I've spent my life working at and they didn't care as long as they're having fun, I would be hacked off!

It was lovely seeing Lesley on Sat and the De Becke afterwards needless to say Im voting for him Him and Patsy upset at all rumours and sudden harsh criticism
I find Bruno and Len hillarious Quite a lot is tongue in cheek
especially Austin Powers comment you just have to take the humour the right way
