But - and this is apparently where our views differ - I believe that venting your anger at the media is misguided. Big Brother as with other media function to transmit information etc. I believe that in the case of genuine victims (such as with regard to children or victims of crime) they have a duty of protection. I do not, however, believe that they have a duty to protect an adult who voluntarily and knowingly undresses on a national televison show.

As everyone has pointed out, Jade is an adult!! she is old enough to look after herself, and shouldn't be treated as a child, I am only 21 and personally I would find being treated as a child more offensive than being told that I need protecting and that others were setting me up

Also (although it wasn't necessarily in the same drunken state) nudity has been shown on all 3 big brothers, remember BB1 when Nicola and Craig caked themselves in mud!! nudity is a fact of life, and if someone wants to show it off on national TV, then let them do it!!!

It goes without saying that genuine victims deserve all the protection our society can give them. That is not my argument.

However, I still firmly believe that Jade needs protection. She may be all what people say about her on this forum and in the media. However, I think the whole situation has got out of hand, and its time for someone to intervene and say enough.

People take different routes through life, it doesn't mean that they are stupid. Jade does not appear to be MENSA intelligent, but that's no reason to laugh at her. No-ones perfect, I'm certainly not.

She has clearly choosen to put herself in this position - she is very loud and emotional but she seems to cope fine - to the point where the others where wondering if she is playing the game by acting the fool rather than actually being the fool.

You may not like her choices - but then you are not her.

In life you make a choice and pay the price - in this case we can not relate to either the price (what appears to be making a fool of yourself on public tv) or the "prize" - some sort of fame and pseudo celebrity - but thats seemingly what she wants and thats how shes going about getting it. Who knows - in a couple of years when shes better off and her Mum is no longer living in a council house she might think its all worth it - or not. Her choice not ours.

Voluntary it may well have been, but she was parylatic. I have not much experience of being in that state, but my partner has come in very the worse for drink once or twice, and he is certainly not responsible for his actions.

You know what grown ups take responsibility for drinking too much. By your reasoning its ok to drive while drunk and run over someone because a drunk is not responsible for his/her actions.

The fact is drinking too much is a choice, and you gotta pay the consequences for making that choice.

I cannot beleive how deeply patronising some of you are towards Jade - she has more street savvy than most of them put together and she is in there entirely for the 'exposure' - excuse the pun. She knows that she comes over badly when drinking and she had the choice to drink or not -- and it was a free choice, I certainly didnt see her being bullied into it.

Anyone else drunk as a skunk playing that game would have flatly refused to get their kit off - she didn't because she wasn't bothered - simple as. And she is hardly crying tears of embarassment today is she - couldn't be any less bothered if she tried. Lighten up.

One night they were up talking about Mr Miagi, they were mocking his part of the "talk of doom," he asked everyone in there how they felt about there genitalia being shown on national television, they all agreed that they weren't happy with gratuitous nudity but they realised it was all part of the BB experience. They are filmed 24 hours a day for up to 9 weeks, they're are filmed everytime they use the toilet or take a shower. The British BB has to be the most prudish in the world, at the mereist hint of bare flesh it cut's to the chicken cam, so how on earth anyone can object to a censored picture of Jade on the shows website is beyond me.

But you also said a drunk can't be held responsible for their actions. Which I totally disagree with, I admit I've been sh*tfaced before and have done stupid things (yes even public nudity) but I took responsibility for my actions everytime.
