Moon Family Tree
BBTIME
12-11-2005
Something's been bothering me since this weeks EE's and it's only confused me more from last nights fantastic episode.

Jake and Danny are Alfie's cousins? But is Nana really their Grandmother?

From what I understand, Nana only had 1 son (Alfie's Dad) Therefore, Danny and Jake would be Alfie's Mum's Nephews - which wouldn't make Nana their Grandmother

Anyone know the answer to this? Am I being a bit stupid?

Thanks

i thought I had it there - I hadn't thought about William's family, but that still only makes Nana their Aunt.

So is this a bit of a mistake? or could it be that Alfie's Maternal grandparents died very young and so Jake and Danny 'adopted' Nana?

Edit: They have to be from William's side as they are Moon's! doh! Could anyone pass me a brain cell please!

I was confused about that last night too, but the family tree has cleared it up. I suppose it's just confusing because Jake and Danny call her Nana... but thinking about it, so does everyone!

Danny and Jake are William's brother/sister's kids.So i guess they are Alfie's secound cousins. But i think they do it out of respect calling her Nana because it is their Grandad's sister-in-law.

as I see it goes like this

Alfred
¦
Willam - Victora
¦
Alfred
¦
Alife & Spencer

Alfred (the 1st one) had 2 brothers, whos grandkids are Danny & Jake & Maxwell

& the BBC flash thing has gotten very complicated, and full of rubbish

No, according to the BBC one Danny and Jake are grandsons of one of William's brothers and Mawell is the grandson of the other one.

Just because everyone calls her Nana, doesn't explain why Jake and Danny should. She's always been their Great Auntie in law so surely when they were growing up they would have addressed her by her correct title? So what - are we supposed to believe that they moved away, grew up, came back and suddenly started calling her Nana because everyone else does? No, they would call her what they've always called her as children.

Unless, as BBTime suggested, they didn't have a grandmother of their own and adopted her as their 'Nana' from an early age.

However, because of the many plot implausibilities that go on in EE, I'm more inclined to think that it's just sloppy planning on the part of the EE writers.

By the way - how long has this family tree been around?
