Sim Card Memory
Hi everybody,
could some please advise as to how many contacts can be put o a Sim Card & Also Does a Sim card have to be active, to be able to store names & numbers on it. The Reason i am asking is, i got a new home phone today with a Sim card reader on it. The Home phone can store 200 names in the memory, so i was wondering how many contact names and numbers can you store on a sim card & does it depend on who's (network) sim card you use. with this phone you can copy names from the sim to the phone and vice versa. But if its unplugged you lose all the names in the memory. So i was just going to leave a Sim card in it permently just i case i get a power cut or something, then with a couple of clicks, numbers can be tranfered over quicky. Can someone give me any idea on this Cheers |

it can depend on which network the sim is from...
Vodafone = 200 O2 = 100 (they need to up that by another 100 or so )Orange = 200 (i think) T-Mobile = 230 (mine does) dunno about the others... |

A SIM card will continue to hold the numbers even after if has become inactive (at least O2 and T-Mobile ones do so I assume they all do)

Store your contacts on Outlook, and then sync them onto whatever handset you want. Works for me as I have got an Orange SPV and a Voda W800, and I have the same contacts on both phones. It takes 2 minutes!
