I always suspected that the relationship between Alex and Adele was one-sided and that Adele's feelings for Alex were not reciprocated.

Is Alex as fickle as they come?

Bloody hell -

Its clearly pretty hard in there and the contestants form bonds (that include physical comfort - kissing and cuddling). Alex DID NOT profess his undying love to Adele although he has professed his friendship. The media HAVE made it out to be some sort of romance but that is hardly Alex's fault.

So is Alex fickle - is he f*ck

Oh and before we have all this Alex Hater crap - I don't care who wins 'cos I don't really think any of them deserve it

he did say before that tho hed be interested in adele romantically on the outside, so i dont know whats happened, mayube he was drunk/

He stated in the diary room that he fancied her BUT he was drunk.

He told Jonny and PJ that he would chat her up if he saw her in a club.

I am by no means an Alex hater - I want the bloke to win - but he IS fickle, no question!

Could it be his way of handling how he really feels about her? I'm not sure, I know from personal experience that I have said one thing but really felt differently when it comes to breaking up with the person you love.

He may have resigned himself to think that he has no chance with her when he is finally out of the house. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Relationships are a funny thing.

Little does he realise that Adele's relationship is all but over and that she had stong feelings for him too.

Adele said he didn't fancy him, to the other housemates, inside the house.

Also I think Alex has tried to deny his feelings for her, I mean he thinks that she has a full blown girlfriend.

He's not going to profess his undying love, for a girl he thinks he can't have.

Alex is the opposite of fickle in my opinion

I dont think you can know wether u are in love or not with a person within the big brother house... He says he misses her a lot... he liked the whole package... I wouldnt expect him to say she is the love of his life... I would hope he's respect the word love a lot more than that....

Just like I would like a lot of you to respect the word hate a lot more...

I totally agree!! Also Alex still thinks that Adele is still taken by her girlfiend, so he doesn't want to let his feeling get too engaged with his feeling for Adele.

When Adele was in the house she told Jonny that Alex is gorgeous but she doesn't fancy him (even though she said it with words, her deep feeling were telling something else). Maybe that was her way to not engage her mind and heart into something that might hurt her. But once she was out and realised from outside the house how Alex's body language feel for her she allowed her feeling for him to be exposed and realised that there is a possibility for a date with him.

I am sure that once Alex comes outside of the house and realise that Adele is not only free (sand girlfriend) but has feeling for him, he will let his feeling for her to be known.

Alex's Interview, with Adele there:

Davina: So now Adele's single, do you want to maybe go out with Adele?

Alex: Well that all depends if Adele see's the "Stuff"!

Adele (shouting in audience): ALEX I SEE THE "STUFF"!

Actually I always thought it was the other way round. Adele told Alex in the bathtub that she really fancied him and he was flattered by that but her body language in the days that followed seemed to indicate otherwise. There were no sidelong glances, constant eye contact etc, even when Alex used to kiss her she seemed to always turn away too quick and not look at him. I didn't believe that she really fancied him for a second, it seemed it was just part of her gameplan to get him close to her. Let's not forget that she stated quite clearly on one occasion to the others some time later that she liked Alex but she DID NOT fancy him.

I beleive that Alex was genuinely fond of her as portrayed by his ramblings in the diary room but I don't ever remember him declaring anything more than that.

It is ridicoulos to expect alex to stop talking to other girls just cos adele has gone. Just because he is getting on better with Kate it does not mean she ahs replaced adele in his afections

I also recall that just before Adele left the house she asked Alex about whether she should come to his eviction. I think he told her (approximately) not to make any special effort and only "if she wanted to " Not exactly a solid invitation, nor any misleading message to Adele. i personally hope he has already forgotten her - she's nowt but trouble that lass!

Sorry, but I remember well that bathtub scene, she did NOT tell him that she fancied him. She told his how gorgeous and physically attractives he is AND mentioned his great quality like being gentle, etc...Thet never asked each other if they fancied each other because Alex knew that she has/had a girlfriend and thought that it wasn't appropriate for him to approach her in this subject, not on national television, but maybe when he comes out.

Gosh you have no observational skills, haven't you? He told her to come to the eviction night "only if she wants to" because :

a) he knows that she lives way up north, and he didn't want her to trouble herself (probabely from hearing Jonny constantly moaning about his parent having the hassle to come all the way down from the North)

b) he knows that she was still attached to someone else and didn't want to cause trouble between Adele and her girlfriend by having Adele down south to meet him

c) Adele coming down south to meet him during his exit from the house would signal him that she is no longer attached to her girlfriend, ie. his message to her is translated as "come to the eviction night only if you are no longer taken by your girlfriend.

and remember when they said their goodbyes, it was like between friends NOT as boy/girlffriend because they never talked about their mutual feeling inside the house. They would surey do more of these kind of talks outside the house.

I may have missed seeing this in the thread , but the other night Alex was in the bedrrom alone with Tim(easy) they were discussing the manner of Adeles reception after eviction and how Alex trusted her and was close to her then I'm sure I heard him say clearly "I don't fancy the girl" anyone else ?

Sorry Observer but I also remember the bathroom scene well, and distinctly remember her telling him that she fancied, but as I'm getting old and the grey matter is setting in I decided to check up on this in case I was wrong.....

Can I just say that I think Davina contributed to this Adele and Alex malarky. On Adeles eviction Davina kept going on and on about how Alex had feelings for Adele and Adele to be fair said she had no idea of this to which Davina said it is so obvious he loves you !!!!!!!!!

Now Adele seems to think Alex wants her. In my opinion Alex can only love himself AND he is sooooo desperate for Kate.........

Shame really Adele and Alex would have made an ideal couple. They could have bought a two bed semi in a cul - de - sac and gossiped about their neighbours!!!
