how can simon be serious when he said shayne could be the biggest solo artist in the uk. i think he is forgetting robbie williams who will still be around then. also will young is more talented and original.
yes shayne is talented but he is only like another justin and he is certainly nothing new. he could be big but he will never stand out as top of the pile so long as mr williams is still around! |

I dont think so either. He was good but he wasnt exceptional. I think Maria did better than Shayne.

A good UK singer. Nowhere near the best.

If he gets some good songs then yes maybe. Personally I'd rather listen to him sing anything rather than listen to Mr Williams.

I've listened to Justin Timberlake sing that song many times and Shayne's was not even close!

A lot of heated debates on here tonight! The show tonight has definitely brought out the best/worst in the viewers!
Anyway, to the point... I don't think Shayne is as good as they hype him up to be, and he will never be "the biggest solo artist in the uk". I just hope Simon was taking the piss! The boy is an OK singer, and he is not bad looking, but he is no Justin Timberlake. He proved that tonight! And, he is definitely no Robbie Williams. He lacks one thing that JT & RW both have....... CHARISMA! |

you only have to look at pop idol to see what happens in end. the one that offers something different lasts i.e. will and the cute one i.e. gareth cant manage to hand around for long.
Same in fame academy. lemar was new and made it, david sneddon was a good singer but unoriginal and failed in the business. shayne has nothing new! |

He would have to knock Robbie out of the way in order to do that - and even though I do like Shayne I can't see that happening anytime soon.
However, if Simon sets his mind to iit, and Shayne is willing to "play the game" then I am sure he will do well whether he wins or not. For me he was the performance of the night tonight. |

I agree definately. Robbie Williams won't come down from that position for years yet.
Shayne was awful tonight, For the first time I really couldn't understand why they were praising him. I like him but he murdered that song. |
