question regarding scam text's and changing phones
hi, couldnt think what to put in the title but basicly this is the situation.
My sister recieved some of those crap joke texts taking credit even though she didnt know why they started, she got a new sim and put it in her phone, no problems since. Now she has another phone and i am having her old one, i want to make sure that these scams etc are only involving the sin card and not the phone, in other words will it be ok if i put my sim in the phone? I assume that as my sister hasnt had any problems in the last month or two that phones dont store the information required to tell the services/ scammers that another sim was put in a phone as the sim is the phones identity. Hope you understand all that, thanks

If you put your sim card in it'll be a completely new number/account so the company sending the texts wont have the number.
Your sister could have just texted 'STOP' to the number sending the text rather than changing her sim card! |

Thanks for the info, just wanted to make sure i wouldnt have any hassle, regarding sending "STOP", that didnt work and after doing a little research it turned out that you couldnt send "STOP", the cheek of it
