Brutal and Ugly........

I feel so sad.
I have realy tried to see last night as 'a laugh fuelled by too much alchohol'.
But it was'nt was it? A laugh.

Last night saw the sifted character flaws these people were chosen for, put on display in the Channel 4 arena. And we watched.

Oh the interaction was there alright. The sense of something happening. The talking point for the next day. But all I felt was a creeping sense of real discomfort. It was both brutal and ugly.

Somehow the next day Ilike, I support, I want to win seemed fatuous and irrelevant.
What is this programme about......is it realy a game show?

The stripping games made me a bit uncomfortable, the water fight in the garden I didn't have a problem with... the Alex/Kate and Jonny/PJ/Kate conversations were both interesting and entertaining (especially Jonny on Sandy)... Sub the stripping games, even alcohol-induced, I thought it was a good nights entertainment...

Take any six people in their twenties. Make sure they are both bored and sexually frustrated. Give them copious amounts of alcohol and nothing to do. Bingo!!!! The results will often be similar to what we saw last night. Ugly......certainly at times. Entertaining....at some points. Brutal I think is going a bit too far.

I think that they just all got relaxed forgot they were on telly for a moment and enjoyed themselves. It did go a bit too far and I think that maybe Kate should have intervened on Jade's behalf, but show me anybody that hasn't done something stupid in their late teens/early twenties and I'll show you somebody who's a bit boring. Surely this is what BB is realy about, not watching all this bitching and metal breakdowns.

wait there, anyone remember BB1?

On the first day the first thing they did was all get naked, in clay.

And they were all sober!

I think, Big Brother is more toned down now than it used to be!

Personally I have streaked around uni while very drunk, in front of plenty of mixed houses (at 10pm )

It hasn't done me any long term harm, although the next day was uncomfortable.

Yes, but I witnessed it and I was in therapy for YEARS.

Much better now though.

I think there was no humiliation there... I wasnt uncomfortable last night because of the naked body... nothing wrong with a naked body... so long as it is made with all awareness...

nah, its public execution TV: an update of the stocks. but instead of pelting the victims with rotten veg, we pelt them with insults & abuse.

only thing is these idiots chose this punishment - they deserve abuse for this alone.

I think that this show is here for us greater thinkers. It gives us a chance to rip to shreds 10-15 people and access every part of their personalities, discuss their every action and why they have opted for that choice. It also gives us the opportunity to think about how we deal with obstacles in our lives. Plus we can tell the people we can't stand what we think of them and hand them possibly the biggest rejection of their lives. Then we get to hand one of them enough money to make at least the next year of their lives a hell of a lot easier. It give us something to talk about with our workmates and may bring us closer to them.

Most of all it makes C4 and Endemol a hell of a lot of money.

I would dare to presume however that your antics weren't transmitted live to the nation. Or that the press hadn't been engaged in a hate campaign, especially about your spare tyre (if you have one!) for weeks beforehand without you knowing.

Everyone watching the tellly in the room was shocked. Not only at what an abusive situation for Jade (PJ knew she was tanked), but at Kate's complicity.

For the life of me, I can't understand why any woman wouldn't have intervened on Jade's behalf. What's Kate like?

Exactly what happened? I only caught the debate afterwards but not the thing itself.

It didn't seem to me that Jade was all that reluctant to get her kit off. Indeed when Kate tried to cover her up, Jade gave her a mouthful of abuse.

Lets also remember that we are not talking about a naive teenager, but about a 21 year old who has been happy to do nude photo shoots in the past.

I don' t think any of them thought Jade would actually do a full monty, in fairness, Kate did try to cover Jade up later on in the bedroom. Jade wasn't impressed, she was very drunk though.

It wasnt Jade removing her clothes as much as the fact that not one of them lifted a finger to stop her !

If I was on a couch and knew it was on national tv wether the other person was a friend or NOT I'd have done my utmost to discourage them ...knowing we were all very very drunk ....if that didnt work I'd have walked away ....certainly NOT insisted they go futher for the sake of the "rules" .
THATS what disgusted me .....

I'm sorry but I was LMAO at the drinking party last night..watching it now on C4 repeat and I'm almost crying with laughter especially at Alex talking to himself and the other lads listening outside...

You're missing a small point though, about Kate. You ask why she didn't stop it, but perhaps you should ask why she started it, calling Jade to accounts over a costly Kevin Costner mistake.

She's wonderful. Vote PJ!!

There were lots of great moments last night ..the water fight ...the pillow fight ..lots of it was FUN ...And yes I laughed at the others listening to alex ...but The strip was "sick" in MHO.

Anyone considered Jade did it on purpose? Kevin Costner? Twice, in a row? Yeah right.

Jade bit Kates head off when she tried to cover her up.

She did take off her pants like a professional stripper, you do have that point in your favour.

But somehow it's just right[i] for her to be so defenceless. That's Jade now, a mental shambles on legs.

My word, this has been, without a doubt, the best Big Brother the world has had introduced to it.
