Orange Sanyo & Tesco Mobile
I'm thinking about getting rid of my trusty 6600 on Tesco Mobile and getting an Orange Sanyo S750. I've been on Tesco for two months now and don't want to cahange my number again. A couple of questions:
1) How long do I have to have been on Tesco to tranfer my number to Orange? 2) I've taken a look at the orange website to get the low down on the Sanyo handsets, however according to Orange the plain S750 seems better specified that than the S750i, despite the £10 premium. Is this right? 3) Would you swap a Nokia 6600 with GPS setup for a S750i? |

Ring Tesco Mobile customer services and ask for your PAC code, then when you register your new phone with Orange - give them the PAC code and they will begin the process of porting your number over. In the mean time you will be assigned a temporary number to allow you to use your phone but on the 5th day this will be replaced by your tesco number. The best thing to do therefore is to continue using your tesco mobile until the number has been ported, making sure you use up all remaining credit or this will be lost. http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/payasyougo/plans The link above provides details on the Orange tarriffs you can choose from and you can inform customer services of the one you wish to use. If you text more then you should choose the "text top-up" and if you talk more you should choose the "same rates 24/7 with bonus top-up" tarriff. If you text "Evening" to 1133 when you register your phone you will also receive free evening Orange to Orange calls every month for the next 5 years providing you top-up at least £10 in a month. Also if you tell the customer services rep that you want to try a service for free like WAP or Photo Messaging then you might get some more freebies. I got 30 photo messages when I got my phone and just the other day I got £12 of WAP access credited to my account for free when I was on the phone to Orange. |

In fairness Tesco are very good, but my phones feeling a bit dated now and I've alway liked the orange service. I also fancy trying the 3G service at £59 it seems worth a go |
