9200T Simple Questions

Hi,

I have a PVR8000T with 80GB HD and am thinking of upgrading to a 9200T. I have two questions which will satisy me for my requirements (they are limited!).

a) Does it have RF-loop through? I currently record on my 8000T box and an old Sky box (free channels only with an old card) at the same time and watch the analogue channels (1-5) while the recordings are taking place. If I get the 9200T I'm getting rid of the old sky box as long as I can watch analogue channels while recording 2 digital channels. This is especially important of Friday nights at the moment!

b) Is there a global setting to allow you to record x minutes before and y minutes after the EPG? I'm peed off with More4 and their EPG! Grand designs always ends after the EPG end time so I miss the end of the program. I want to be able to always record 5 minutes after the EPG end time.

If you can answer these two questions to my satisfaction I'll be ordering a 9200T ASAP!

a) Yes but the 9200 will also let you watch another third channel as long as it's on one of the two Musex tied up by the tuners anyway

b) Nope you have to manually pad each time you set a recording. (which invokes another bug to do with titles being temporarily listed incorrcetly)

1) Yes. Though that would not be the only way to skin the cat of getting the RF signal to your TV's analogue tuner. But, you are in luck because even better than watching a third programme on analogue you can watch a third digital channel, as long as it is on the same MUX as one of the programmes you are recording (or if both recorded programmes are on the same MUX).

2) No. You have to do it programme by programme. As you are undoubtably aware, 8000T owners have been crying out for this feature for years, so don't hold your breathe on it ever happening.

Thanks CJL and Gomezz.

The fact that Humax have not added the padding means that I will not be buying a 9200T - shame as I like their products.

You will be missing out on a damn good pvr just because it does not have automatic padding.
You can add minutes manually very quickly once you have added a programme to the schedule to be recorded, straight from the epg.
It's very easy and quick.
