i feel so sory for shayne now, because as he was the favourite from the very beginning he's under a lot of pressure to keep delivering
I'm a big fan of shayne and do not think he deserves all the slagging and rumour spreading about him.....of which there is far mre than about the others

Unfortunately, excessive criticism is what happens when you set up someone as average as a clear favourite.

Ive never said ive hated him. All I said was I didnt like the way he reacted to the result last night.

i didnt like the way chico reacted nor the comments from JS about being in the final and i havent liked nicolas being arrogant nor the conways lead singer having a smile on her face

they have all reacted badly

Yeah I agree, but there was just something about Shayne that got on my nerves while the others didnt thats all.

brenda and andy get just as much if not more praise from the judges

wher are all the threads slagging them off

why dont you just say you dont like him or bring up the others for doing the same thing

I do like him.

I've been voting for Shayne and Chico since the start and will continue to do so.

People have said some very unkind things about both of them, but while many of the so-called "good" artists have been dropping like flies, Shayne and Chico just keep going on - hopefully to the final!

Perhaps all the Shayne fans should go to a Shayne fansite if they are so incapable of reading any criticism of him whatsoever. I'm afraid not everybody is as in love with him as the judges are and when they make utterly ridiculous comments such as Shayne becoming the most successful recording artist of the last 3 years then people are entitled to disgree...strongly. No act is beyond criticism, not even precious Shayne.

Criticism is fine ...its the hatred that's unnecessary in my opinion.

There are loads of threads where posters call him a range of offensive names
There are threads where people have stated they hate him for the way he reacted to going through
There was even a thread where various posters fanticised about him being hit by a bus (description of injuries etc)

None of this adds anything to the discussion about his voice, his performance, his song choice or whether he has the 'X Factor'

None of the Shayne-haters I've seen on here have been able to give a good reason for their hatred!

I'm kinda bored of shayne, I think he's lost his spark. Now I don't really like him as much I just think he's okay.I don't mind if he wins though even if that is kinda predictable.

Couldn't agree with you more on the last bit. It was terrible, X Factors not just about copying original song, you gotta make the song UR OWN. He looked like JT, sang like him, his dancers had the whole JT thing going on.

I started to dislike Shayne when he started to become hailed as the 'second coming' by the judges.

I see that the guy is very good looking, but IMO his voice is just better than average, and i dont find him as good as some of the other acts. Although he is the most marketable based on his looks.

Im all for throwing my support behind someone who truely is talented. That's why i liked Maria. I felt she had the whole package and i think she was truely gifted. IMO Shayne doesnt even come close to her.

I suppose its not his fault that the judges are treating him like a God. What irritates me most of all though is that so many of the voting public fall for brain washing tactics that Simon et al put out. They say he is 'the next big superstar', so everyone instantly thinks it too (except most digital spy users it seems). The same preferential bias was given to Gareth Gates from Simon and I ended up disliking him because of that too.

Those who think Shayne is cute, sexy and a great singer,

People who are completely WRONG!

Lol half the competitors in the show were/are Irish. You must have found it difficult to decide who to back based on that preference.


I like the Irish commoradory. they always back their own people. I'm gonna start doing this from now on.
