Why should the judges decide on the bottom two?
It should go on the vote the public voted for.
I’m sure some of the acts who got booted off would still be in.
Your thoughts.

but half the fun is watching the judges pretend to care.

besides, if you let the fans decide, we'll end up with Chico.

I think the last two weeks decisions have been very difficult.... it should be passed over to a public vote.

I also don't get why the bottom 2 have to sing again, surely the judges don't base it on that performance

In theory it's a good idea. It tests their professionalism. Can they hack it under difficult circumstances? In reality I agree it probably doesn't make much difference. The judges have probably decided who they will vote for already; or, as some people have suggested, have been told who to vote for by the producers.

That's the bit I don't understand. Surely not as many people enjoyed their first performance, why would we want to listen to it again?

I think we should listen to the top two again, it would be more enjoyable, than cringing for a second time.

I think they should just put Chico on at the end to reprise his performance, because he is the only reason viewers are still watching X-Factor.

That may be the case with some viewers, but, certainly not all. I admit when he is in the bottom two and has to 'sing' again, I fast forward or press mute. I can't suffer him twice in one night!
