Where was the Irish Support then.........
If as we've all been hearing ... the Conway sisters were saved by the Irish Mafia... namely Louis Walsh.. why was it down to him... where were the millions of Irish Fans??
apparently not one, picked up the phone, to vote for these FANTASTIC Performers.... so even there own nation has turned it back on this talentless bunch of misfits... and they are Misfits let's be honest... they need backing singers like we need oxygen to breathe... they're just not up to it... and a tragic miscarriage of justice he fallen upon us.... shame

I do agree with you, the girls just can't cut the mustard, each week the same excuse "please keep us in, we will do better, we will show you we can do it".
Well no we should not keep them in, they have had weeks of professional instruction, studio time, styling and live performance and still they are no better, still they are not reaching that point we we as views can say "Oh yeah they can sing in harmony after all". This show is staring to annoy me, please can we keep the real talent and get rid of the lesser talented performers: The Conway Sister: Stick to backing singing (your not up to anything else) Chico: A cheesy try to hard to please entertainment NOTHING ELSE Nicholas: Great voice but no charisma the others have it and if the above are removed from the show it will make it all the better. The best thing to do now will be to employ impartial judges who are not the mentors to the contestants
. That whole idea of mentors also being judges is an absolute farce . Where is the air of surprise (well, we sure got one on Saturday . When Kate Thorton can say week in week out something like "not surprisingly Simon chose his own act", you suddenly get the feeling it's all staged

Couldn't agree more, the judges behaviour makes interesting TV but it isn't right that strong artists are sent home before weaker ones because of it.
I think that Simon, Sharon and Louis should be allowed to comment on the performances as they do now, then the public vote, then the final decision is made by different, impartial judges OR the final decision is made by Louis, Sharon & Simon PLUS three other judges giving the bottom two acts a score each (like Strictly Come Dancing); lowest total goes home. |

Can I just point out AGAIN that not all Irish people are supporting these girls. I think they are awful and have been hoping that they would be booted out in fact I think they should never have gotten into the last stage anyway. Right now their Dad is being interviewed on the radio and is so full of crap it would make you cry. He is rubbishing on about how empty the house is without them being so far away and the pet dog misses them blah blah blah. You'd swear they were kids that had never been away from home before. Also the main newspapers here are trashing them too and are astonished that they got to stay on Saturday night.

Louis either saved the Conways because he knows them and felt obligated to, or because he truly believes they have more talent than Maria or because he thought Maria would be tougher to beat in the later stages and he wanted to clear the way for his own acts

Like Sharon was the female vote a couple of weeks ago. What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Maria's gone....it's tragic....really tragic..it should have been Chico but it wasn't. Get over it.

As far as being too pretty is concerned, she is on a par with most of Girls Aloud, the Spice Girls, All Saints, the Sugababes, Atomic Kitten, etc in the looks department so no reason for young girls not to like her. |

I am so glad the Conways aren't Scottish. It would just be unbearabley embarrassing. So embarrassing I'd have to apply for English citizenship!
