Andy has something
I'm not sure if it is the X factor ? (whatever that is !?) but when I see Andy perform I can safely say he has something a little special.
The voice is smooth and clean and his style and personality matches that perfectly. I disagree that there is a lack of talent this time around, and Brenda could kick Rewetta's ass in a sing off any day ! When you do anything second time around it has to be twice as good to keep up the enjoyment, and I think the sheer volume of posts on this forum shows that interest is sky high. |

Personally he's boring me to tears, I also find him a bit smug? If he wins he will just be another 'Steve' and disappear into nothing, he's not exactly going to set the charts alight or give us some different?

I think Andy has a lovely voice, I agree some of the song choices have been a bit bland, but he is distinctive which I think is important. I think there are dozens of Marias, Brendas, Shaynes & Nicholases out there!(There is - thank goodness - only one Chico!!!)
Andy needs to keep singing songs which suit his voice, but I would love to hear him jazz it up a bit with some Northern Soul, a bit funkier but still smooth & sexy.

He's okay when you can see him but if you listen to the audio (MP3) on it's own he's not all that eg the Nat King Cole that the audience loved is flat on the audio.

I find the style of music he does a little dull, but I'm pleased for him that he's got onto this show. He's bound to get work as a singer now, even if it just involves singing on cruise ships.
Andy strikes me as the sort of even-tempered, unassuming bloke who will be content with making a living doing something he genuinely enjoys. I don't think he's in the same vein as someone like Steve Brookstein who expected stardom from being on the show, and now believes he's earned the right to turn his nose up at gigs other (better) singers would happily accept in order to pay the mortgage. |
