The Garden Open Again
David McH
10-07-2002
The housemates have been allowed into the garden again as the work is complete and there is now a net covering the whole garden. It's hard to see in the dark but Jonny and PJ seemed surprised by how low it is.

To stop idiots throwing things over the wall like tennis balls.

Can you imagine Jade's reaction when she wakes after sunbathing and finds she's covered in criss cross tan lines?

she would see the good side of it I'm sure. realising she could hide on a tennis court if she needed too

Would it not have been easier for them to devise some way of stopping people throwing things over in the first place? Like, perhaps, telling the security guards not to let people get close enough to the house.

Is the net sound-proofed too?

I'm not too sure the neighbouring Tesco would be all too happy about security guards telling their customers where and where not to go in the car park.

I thought the BB house was contained inside Elstree and didnt directly adjoin Tescos. If it does, then why cant BB simply build a high net fence on the side that does adjoin? Seems a bit claustrophobic to me.

Perhaps it has something to do with a task?

hmm, but surely BB thought about where to build the new house....

"yes, lets build it next to a giant Tescos where thousands of people go everyday to buy their shopping, of course no one will try to peek over"

Perhaps they are taking a leaf out of Survivor's book and are going to get the HMs to see who can dangle from it by their fingertips for the longest time...all for the amazing reward of two extra bottles of scrumpy.

I've not seen the new garden netting yet (as I'm currently at work, grrr!); maybe it's not just to keep objects from being lobbed into the garden but also to stop any further escapes ...after all if Jade continues to drink like a fish they will all be climbing the walls!

Ooops, there I go again, turning yet another thread into a hogbashing exercise, tsk, tsk!
