GPS help - Sony 910i
I'm looking to get a Sony 910i, firstly has any got it - what's it like??
I also wanted to get it as I should beable to link up a GPS system but I think I need the following... 1. memory card reader 2. sony duo memory card 128mb or more 3. a Bluetooth Gps receiver (module 16 channels or more recommended) and being a bit of dumdum I was hoping someone could shed light on what they are and whether you could recommend any specific types? Thanks for any help. |

i have newly upgraded to a SE P910i on a contract and used it for a day but since i have XDA2s so i have left it there. the phone itself have been great, much faster than the older version (P800/P900). more review can be found on more dedicated mobile forums (mobile-review etc).
in terms pf GPS, the card reader is for putting the software/map on the card, i have not tried it myself but i believe you can just trasfer the files via the phone. 128mb+ card again is for storing the map/program. Bluetooth GPS receiver is for the actual GPS to work. this way doesnt always work well with most of the phones (Nokia 6600 etc) due to the processer speed but i am pretty sure that the P910i will cope quite well with this. for GPS receiver, Holux GPSlim236 is recommended... cheapest you can find is around £80. btw, i am thinking of selling the P910i so let me konw if you are interested. or else i can help you on getting a good deal
