Steph (Lorraine Chase) and Adam (Richard Shelton) are disappointed when their day out at the races is cancelled due to rain. They agree that they should continue to make the most of the day and Adam leans in for a kiss, but they are interrupted by Val (Charlie Hardwick) who steals Adam’s attention with a long tale of woe. An irate Steph later then threatens Val not to mess things up for her, viciously grabbing her hair and warning her to stay away from the doctor

Over at Connelton View, Dawn (Julia Mallam) finds Jo (Roxanne Pallett) and Danny (Cleveland Campbell) crashed out the sofa and wrongly assumes that something happened between them. Jo puts her straight and realising how Dawn feels about Danny she sets about playing cupid. Will Jo’s meddling bring them both together?

Meanwhile, the factory girls are horrified to learn that Pollard (Chris Chittell) has been so cruel to Val (Charlie Hardwick), and Del (Hayley Tamaddon) decides that they should teach him a lesson. When Pollard comes into the factory they all ignore him. He tries to give his side of the story, but when the girls remain silent he gives up and goes home.

Excellent episode tonight... Val is so good drunk. Steph back to her scary best. Only thing ruining it for me is Dawn acting like a spoiled brat.

Great episode, love Steph and Val as adversaries. Is it just me or is that doc a little dim?

Fabulous, my two favourite characters at war with each other They were both so good tonight. Steph is such a fab villain, and the look on Val's face screamed "what a loon", lol.

I hope they have a long-running feud

Also loving the factory girls and Del's signs, especially with the "No" upside down.

I forgot Paddy doesn't known about the cows...wonder if that will come out..

Only bad thnig was Dawn being a moody cow for no real reason.

But otherwise, great episode.

The highlight was Steph's insane hat at the beginning.

She looked like The Mad Hatter with added eccentricity.

I love the fact we don't know for sure...nor is there any real need to know. It sort of adds to his character.

The only way we might find out is if we have a scene of him maybe talking to himself..

I hope Steph's secret lasts as long, or at least doesn't bring her down anyway

Brilliant episode.
Steph is back to evil best.

Loved val shouting through Pollard's letterbox: "He's not even left me with a clean pair of knickers to my name!"

Dawn to Danny, " Stop talking, stand on that 2 ft high wooden box and kiss me !!!"

Pyscho Steph is back, standby for extreme close ups.

Does Eric really need the girls to talk to him as long as they do their jobs?

Paddy Kirk, in desperate money troubles, although he can still afford to pay a full time temp to do nothing, MUST DIE

Victoria Sugden is being kept in a cupborad to keep her out of trouble

I noticed that tonight, eurgh! I don't like Steph though. I thought she was out of order with Val tonight. I'm really beginning to like Val now, she's a funny character and a good one too.

Did anyone catch the bit where Bob is talking to Louise by phone because she is ill.

He says, 'Emergency - Ward 10'.

Richard Thorpe (Alan Turner) was in this series.

I missed the relevance at the time He was also in one of the crews of the Dambusters.

I meant Val v Steph. Unless you are neutral, you can't be on both sides.

Just catching up with omnibus.

The factory girls and the signs was the funniest thing. Especially the 'on' one, lol. The only thing that would have improved it (puts on soap writer hat) would be showing a sign that we don't see - and Pollard reacting to it.

The Val and Steph scene was well played and sets the foundations for a future bitch fight. Bring it on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
