In the house he's gone into a bit of a depression because he's taken badly to a few of the housemates disliking him. That's hardly a crime. I don't think I'd be able to live with someone day in day out 24/7 for 6+ weeks if I knew they didn't like me. |

Snobbery? I don't think so.
I am definatly not a snob and am certainly not talking against people in the North East.
I am a BB3 fan and am from Cape Town South Africa, I didn't know where Jonny was from and don't really care. The point is that his mood swings are ridiculous, he is always moping around and looking dismal. He is worse than Jade at turning conversations around to be about him. He doesn't listen to other people and even when it seems he is his eyes are all over the place and from his replies you can tell he isn't really listening. His roughness with the girls in the "games" the other night was way over the top. I would like to know why BB didn't show his conversation with Kate at about 4am that morning when he went balistic and used every bad word under the sun to describe other HMs and BB in general. It is the first time we are seeing his true colours and yet CH4 chose not to screen it. Why? They are happy to imply that all the other HMs are idiots and show their worst moments! I am speaking as a foreigner and just don't get it at all. |

Big Brother admitting Jonny is "certainly not all he seems to be."
It’s coming to something when even the Big Brother official website is now proclaiming that: "Jonny is certainly not all he seems to be." in one of their recent light-hearted pieces.
Lest we not forget one of the other sentences: “However, what is not immediately apparent is the way Jonny somehow manages to arrange things so he comes out on top.” Quite possibly Channel 4 are now going to change their stance on Jonny and encourage more support for both Kate and Alex, detecting that his “common man” popularity has started to wane.. There is clearly some method to Jonny’s madness and the fact that he has been “acting” his way to the pot-of-gold will not be lost on the public as the end-show gets even closer. |

As much as I dislike Jade, I respect her for staying in the group now that she knows that none of them like her (including PJ, her only "ally" as far as she was concerned) No one else goes off sulking all the time. |

Originally posted by tamara that is sooo true! But then again, he is generally imo not an interesting person so there is actually not much of him of much interest to see.. but I can see BB doing a montage of all his bubbly bits as if that were THE Jonny. I wish they could do a montage of the Jonny who isn't aware BB is watching and wanting a piece of the camera action... now that would be the moping, sulking, deliberating, calculating, festering unscripted Jonny.
I have the same problem. It seem there is a clear bias towards showing Jonny in a better light than the others HM. |

I am sorry - but my dislike for Jonny grows each day and it really started out as something so trivial - I could not mention it.
His giggle I know it sounds stupid, but when Jonny is doing something he thinks he probably shouldn't be doing (i.e. carrying Kate through the house to the pool this evening to throw her in it) .... he giggled continually. LOL .... It makes no sense to me either - but I cannot help it, the more I hear that giggle, the more I dislike him. |

Why can't the people who are emailing Radio 1 see what we see, do you think it's because they don't watch it as much and just see the northern working class side of Jonny. Why as a nation do we always go for the underdog. I am losing interest in who wins now but get a bit miffed with Jonny lovers, he's a miserable git.

Did anyone notice yesterday or maybe late the night before. That Jonny was called into the DR concerning the 'master and slave' task. Jonny returned from the DR and said, 'BB have asked if I can make more of the situation, and make it a bit funnier?' This gives the impression that BB were trying to influence the way that he acts. May be, they didn't have enough funny bits to include in the show of Jonny, 'cos it was really only PJ and Alex who were having the fun with the task.

If that is the person you want to win.. go for it. I have other preferences. Amazing that's why he is so popular, but I do believe it, and think he will win because of that! |

He is irritating triying to be too genuine but he is in an admirable profession although he wasnt allowed 10 weeks holiday so gave it up for a more admirable cause bettering himself.
Maybe he is worried about all the fires and lives he should be saving. Or maybe he is worried that he might not end up a star and have to go back to his dangerous job. |

My sense of humour does not take to Jonny and Kates (and therefore Alisons) type, as it seems overt and showy. I prefer the humour of Alex and PJ as it is less obvious and is more subtle, using words rather than visuals. So maybe part of the reason people fall into one camp or the other is that we all have different senses of humour, rather than whether we actually like someone or not due to their character traits Just a half-cocked theory... BC likes Jack Dee, Eddie Izzard et al, hates Oliver and Hardy and so forth |

I agree that Jonny's humour isnt subtle, and it might grate on my if I were in his company for too long. But what I like about him and Kate is their willingness to throw themselves into things and really enjoy themselves.
Perhaps those who describe it as overt and showy, come from different backgrounds where people enjoy themselves in a different way. I myself would probably be more similar to PJ, though a little less laddish. As ive said before on here I have moved up to the north-east quite near to where Jonny lives and its not the most affluent area, most people of Jonnys generation who are still here arn't university educated, they work hard and play hard, have an earthy sense of humour and certainly know how to enjoy themselves when the opportunity arises. Jonny is no exception to that! I dont see it as an act! |

It's a sad indication of the people from the North-East if Jonny is their typical male. As for Chris Moyles we laugh at his show but we know he is just an overgrown lager lout. Aled you need to think for yourself not go with what the Boss says!

Jonny and Kate deserve to win Big Brother i think. Not Alex.
I don't want to see Alex or Tim win it, not a chance i hope. And Jade, well i would be happy to see her win it, IF Jonny and Kate are not there!!! But yes i think Jonny will win also, it will be a close call though because i think Kate may also win.. |

How can you say that when Jonny is the most emotionial up & down character ever to enter Big Brother?
