Am I the only one who finds that the love of football and in particular of a certain North London team as expressed by Timmeh and Kate sticks in the craw somewhat? As I see it, both of them have decided to get into football in order to be more laddish and acceptable generally; Tim to be "one of the lads" at university and Katey to be one of the lads at the Liverpool Street Pitcher & Piano (lest we forget, she didn't know that Andy or Andrew Cole was a relatively well-known football player). Now there's nowt wrong with being a football bore, being one myself to the eternal chagrin of Mrs Gulag, but fake football bores get my goat. What's the bleeding point?
In any case, real gooners would have noted Michael Thomas's championship winning goal in 1989, or even Arsenal's more recent double sealed at ManU as possibly more satisfying.
