Even if you dont like her she hasnt been the worst dancer and the show needs drama. I think shes getting unfair stick its not her fault shes not posh

That's not why she's bugging me!! It's her attitude sometimes that gets on my nerves and that, although I'm sure she does really, she doesn't appear to realise how important all this is to Anton and she doesn't seem to be taking the competition seriously enough. She just seems to go out there and have fun. Which is all well and good, but Anton would probably like to win it, and he won't if she doesn't concentrate a bit more.

I'm really not bothered by the fact that she isn't posh (after all, who is, really?), it's her attitude that irritates me more than anything else. She can't, she won't etc etc, and she doesn't seem to see how lucky she is to be paired with a partner like Anton. If she'd been put with Brendan there's no way that she'd still be in the competition (and I have nothing against Brendan, either...I just think that the combination would have been SCD suicide!)

She seems to just want to enjoy herself, which is fair enough, but not to the point where it means she has no competetive edge. My frustration with her is centred around the fact that three weeks ago they were given the top score by the judges in a larger field and yet last week they were third from bottom after a Samba that was lacklustre at best. There's no consistency with Patsy, no edge. She seems to think that it's enough that she enjoys it, and where the show and her partner is concerned, it's not.

Leave Patsy alone


Just a pity SCD didn't leave her Alone! I simply don't like her and hope she takes leave anytime soon. I think it is obvious that Anton isn't that keen on her either.

I thought the comments about her on ITT were very accurate; I don't think Patsy is considering Anton's feelings much (and can be a bit ignorant/arrogant/disrespectful too - re her belittling the judges).

I really like Patsy. She's been wonderfully amusing throughout the series and I love how much she appears to enjoy the dancing. She can be amazing (as shown by that fabulous tango) but she is definitely missing that competitive edge.

That's what frustrates me (and I think Anton) about her. She really could win this, but it still feels like she's holding something back. Like she's not quite giving her all. It's almost as if she's afraid of looking silly or failing.

I hope that both for herself and Anton that what happened on Saturday cures that for her - that she realises she wants to stay in this competition and she can be really good if she tries her hardest.

On the positive side, they should be doing the Quickstep this week which is one of Anton's faves...

These anti-Patsy sentiments seem very similar to what was being said about Fiona in past weeks.

Seems we always need to replace the comedy villains.

I agree with what everybody is saying, I think Anton and Patsy get on reasonably ok, but its just Patsy will only put in a certain amount of focus and effort. Lets face it its only this week they weren't that good, previous weeks they have been brilliant

Anton has to really work hard on dances he loves to get her to focus imagine how he feels when it's a dance he hates.

I know he is a professional dancer and should be above this, but I also think they both need to pull their fingers out this week and prove themselves or they are out.

I really want them to stay in, it's going to be boring without them !

Any how, what about this story that Zoe is taking extra lessons with a top choreographer - not exactly in the spirit of strictly is it

I'm rather confused by this. On earlier ITTs, Patsy and Anton were saying how well they got on, and they did genuinely seem to.

I thought the main problem with the samba was Anton's negativity about it, not Patsy's. Patsy was on film as saying that after seeing the professionals do it the previous week she was really looking forward to it and couldn't wait to try. She was the only celeb I saw being initially so enthusiastic - all the others were saying they were intimidated by how good the professionals' performance was, they couldn't possibly do it etc.

But Anton was also on film as saying it was his least favourite dance, and he himself seemed to have no enthusiasm for it (at least that is how it came over to me) and I thought that affected her performance.

Patsy is doing the work anyway but not going as far as cheating Ill say again theres nothing wrong with the girl or the partnership its just what bits we are shown She really wants to and deserves to go further she needs votes even if just for Antons sake

I see what you say, I do agree it's been overstated that they don't get on, its just that Patsy get's so crippled by nerves every week that it seems to take her so much longer to get to grips with the dance even when she is enthusiastic - I think they are both great and would love them to win - now it's just that peoples perception of their relationship might go against them and they need to do something to help that.

Yes I agree there is that perception, I just don't know where it came from, except Anton looking cross after the results and stalking off. But I thought he was just understandably annoyed with the judges and the marks, rather than just with Patsy, so I agree with you it has all been overstated.

I wasn't aware Patsy was any more nervous than the others . I love watching her because she genuinely seems to enjoy it so much. Their performance last week was disappointing - but Zoe and Colin have also had disappointing weeks, so it isn't that big a deal surely?

I don't know why everying is hating on Patsy. Last week she was so enthusiastic about the Samba. Anton wasn't even bothered. He's "supposed" to be the professional. If he just wanted to dance ballroom, maybe he shouldn't have entered.

Patsy has really made me laugh, she's witty and much funnier than i thought. Maybe Anton cannot handle attention being taken away from him.

People on SCD and ITT keep on talking about how Patsy is crippled by nerves and has a "dark side", Anton said on ITT that Patsy didn't have time to be competitive because she was spending so much time just getting her nerves under control - patsy agreed

I don't think Patsy did herself any favours with her attitude on saturday. She was very funny and obviously just speaks her mind but some people don't like that.
I also think the fact that some of it was aimed at Anton (Austin Powers comment) upset some people too.

She seems to be really enjoying herself but her comments on not being bothered were maybe taken in the wrong way and this may lose her votes with the public.

Give her a chance this week but vote Colin ( sorry had to put that in)

No, it's not at all entirely Patsy's fault and Anton's dislike of the samba certainly didn't help matters. BUT he was bothered. He did a perfectly good samba with Lesley in series 1 and he is quite capable of dancing Latin (although obviously it is not as good as his ballroom). It seemed to be a combination of both their attitudes which gave them problems last week, not one or the other.

I do get confused by this forum. After Fiona went I thought people liked most of the others...then Dennis started to get it in the neck.

Now he's gone, it's Patsy who is getting alot of stick on here...and Anton.

Who next after they leave then?

I don't mind any of them now, and think they are all trying very hard.

I thought I'd seen all of the footage but I must have missed some - I didn't see any of that! She never gives the impression of being nervous (unlike Fiona who seemed absolutely crippled by it).

I agree bohochick, it is all rather confusing.

I think that she's probably one of those people that hides her nerves by talking non-stop, really loudly.

Sorry to be a bit thick but I missed the live show on Saturday (GRRRRRRR) and a lot of the anti-Patsy comments I've seen over the last couple of days seem to relate to her dance last Saturday... what happened? Was it just a bit "lacklustre" as has been suggested or did she do/say anything in particular to lose people's support? Would be v v grateful for an update!

With regard to Patsy's nerves I think what they meant was when she actually starts trying to learn the steps at the beginning of the week she really panics and loses confidence and Anton said once she gets her head round the steps she feels she can perform - you know if all these stories about them not getting on hadn't appeared in the press and mags we would have just thought they were having a bad week! A couple of weeks ago Camilla stormed off after the Tango and nobody thought anything of it - Bohochick is right it's a great show and the remaining couples are interesting and really entertaining - but it does give us something to talk about

Speaking of ITT can anyone tell me what happened last night? I had it on in the room but my friends were over so I wasn't really watching it. I didn't mind though cause I thought I had it taped. Went to watch it and realised I had taped BBC1 instead of 2! GRR!

IMO it was just a bit lacklustre. She then made a joke of it while waiting for the marks, but I didn't think she said anything out of turn. She seemed a bit upset in the practice footage because she couldn't get it right, but nothing we haven't seen from the other celebs from time to time - just frustration I think.

ITT showed footage of Anton stalking off afterwards backstage and it was suggested he was annoyed with Patsy, but I don't know if that is true. And as others have said - anyway so what, just a bad day. I just think a mountain has been made out of a molehill.

If they're on ITT tonight maybe all will be explained.
