What a lod of rubbish. I'm not saying it cannot happen but why has there been no hints what so ever? When Dev was running from shop to shop during Mad Maya he showed no concern for his kids then did he?

Filled with plot holes. The Corrie producers must think us viewers are thick.
This is my opinion and I'm not out to cause trouble.

I agree me and my fella thought why was he only concerned about Sunita during the Maya Monday episodes Surely his kids would have come first?

This story is full of holes. Completely unbelievable, as is the dire quality of Dev's acting.

You'll have a long wait then because Dev is to have a long storyline in which he gets to know all his kids

i thought they were gonna show that he wasn't that bothered about then cos they're all girls. he wants a son. that's why he's got so many women up the duff! what i find more unrealistic is that even one woman would want to sleep with him! let alone the 20 or so he's got stashed away!!

The storyline is ridiculous and has many plot holes and Jimmi Harkishin's acting leaves a lot to be desired, but Shobna Gulati is fantastic and so it's worth watching because of her

Thought all you cynics might want to have a look at this

http://www.mirror.co.uk/tvandfilm/so...name_page.html

and see how Tony Stewart from The Mirror thinks it's one of this years best storylines.

when I heard about this storyline I just laughed because (imo) its a bit stupid really. very unbelieveable.
but I don't watch Coronation Street very often so I can't really pass judgement. I apologize if it turns out to be a good storyline but at the moment it sounds like it's not.

I enjoyed it, it isn't stupid, its good that stuff we don't know about (on-screen) happens. Dev was VERY concerned about the girls and workers when the 7 shops were exploding, have people forgotten?

IMO he was only concerned (as he should have been) as an employer and shop owner. He was not overly concerned about the children (as he should have been) as a father

I wasn't sure about this storyline but now that it's started I think it is being very well done. Shobna is fantastic. Jimmi, needless to say, is rubbish, but quite entertaining - he had me in fits of laughter with his delivery of "who tooolllldddd youuuuuu".

I thought both episodes were very cleverly structured with all those 'betrayed women' being focussed on - Violet with her uncertainness about Jason, Frankie talking to Sunita about Danny, and Shelley trying to persuade Sunita there was nothing wrong. Very good stuff.

I think it will provide a lot of good drama (despite Jimmi ) but it is just a shame Shobna is going. Whyyyyy? (as Dev would say )

The Mirror......Hardly the country's most respected paper. Especially with the lies they print...COUGH.....abusing Iraqi prisoners pictures!

I just sat there last night thinking.....Hmm, okay who got three women up the duff, he knew about it. Yet when his shops were on fire he cared not for his kids?

And why haven't any of the mothers spoke out about it? Why haven't they warn Sunita in the first first? And why the heck are they still working in that rotten man's shops if he left them pregnant and moved on.

Silly, totally silly.

It's one thing with a murder plot, as that is silly in it self. But this just takes the whole thing over board. It's stupid and is something more suited to a silly American soap opera then Corrie.

This is my opinion and I'm not out to cause trouble.
It is a bit silly with the amount of children that he supposedly has but it does fit in with his character as he was always a bit of a ladies man having affairs left right and centre. The main plot hole I can think of is his reaction during the shop explosions but he doesn't seem to care about his kids as they are all girls and none of the kids even know he is the dad so that explains his concern for Sunita over his childrens lives.

At least he isn't cheating on her as we all thought he would as that would have completely undermined the whole Mad Maya thing.

I think he abandoned them because he wants a boy as he keeps telling Sunita. Even though it is a bit OTT the acting is great. I prefer the OTT stories compared to the fairly dull ones that have filled up most of the summer. More good stories to come as well apparently.

I'm really sad this spells the end for Sunita but hopefully she'll return one day as the producers have said they do like her but they want to develop Dev's side of the story.

At least Dev hasn't cheated on Sunita as was reported earlier in the year, as that would have completely undermined the Mad Maya story.

I thought it was brilliant! short and sharp - just the way storylines should be, would you prefer for it to go on for months?

Byt he way that young girl is the best thing in Corrie - lets hope her and Dev stick around for a while.

IMO, there are quite a few men out there who don't give a fig about the children they've fathered whether they are girls or boys. So this storyline doesn't surprise me at all. Lol, before Sunita I don't think Dev really cared about anybody but himself.

Like others have said Dev's reaction during the exploding shops wasn't that of someone concerned about his kids. I know he is meant to be a ladies man but how could he have been so careless so many times to have produced so many kids. How could none of these women have let something slip to Sunita at any time? Its a joke and the joke is underlined by the fact that Sunita is being axed not Dev.

I think Dev's reaction during the shop fires was concerned enough. And you can see by his reaction to Amber he finds her a bit of a pest and doesn't behave as if he even likes her, let alone loves her as a daughter. That seems quite realistic to me - he has had nothing to do with her upbringing and didn't want Ravinder to go ahead with the pregnancy.

What I do find more unlikely is that the second woman, the mardy one, would not have deliberately told Sunita out of spite some time ago.

This is a pretty pointless storyline. Where's it come from. It's surely very unrealistic that Dev would shag so many women and dump them if he can;t get a son.

I can't believe that there's a network of shop assistants who have Devbabies and all know about each other, but Sunita never heard a whisper of it even though she was working in one of his shops for ages. I also can't believe that she didn't realise that she was the only one paying rent for the flat above the shop
