Could Xfactor Loose Votes

The Xfactor final is as far as i can gather on the 17th of December

this is one of the biggest party weekends over the Xmas period

most of the end of term, work and group parties are held that weekend

all the hotels and pubs around my area have been fully booked for weeks

so could this mean a drop in veiwing figures and could it mean less votes

and could it change the final outcome

could those that vote for JS, Shayne or Chico be out partying

and those that vote for brenda or andy be at home voting

or could it be the other way round?

I think whatever happens, the votes will even themselves out!!

The people that make X-Factor will make more than enough money from the series, I'm not sure we should be considering having a whip-round, I'm still not entirely convinced that any entertainment programme should ask it's viewers to give money to them.

I would be intreged to know how the voting figures for this series compare with previous ones anyway.
Most folk I know don't even consider voting even if they watch the show as it happens or not, so I can quite easilly see that voting figures'll be down in general for the whole series.

i think SCD could have affected the voting

SCD votes go towards children in need not the pockets of simon cowell

I don't think we have to worry about those voting for Chico. I don't think he'll be there somehow on the 17th.

I've got a work's xmas night out on the 17th, and I've been voting for JS. If they're still there at that time, I'll make sure I put in plenty of text votes for them. It's pretty sad that I'll vote for them when I should be out enjoying myself, but I would feel bad if I didn't, so they won't lose any votes from me.

I would take that crystal ball back to the shop and get your money back if I was you. People have been saying Chico will be the first to go, or he's definately going this week since the live finals began.

So if Chico has been pulling in the GBP votes for the past 5 shows, why don't you have to worry that Chico may win and your favourite won't?

I agree!! There are far too many surprises in this show, although i'm not a strong supporter of any of the acts.. i wouldnt put it past anyone to let Chico win!!

I'm sure schedulers take this sort of thing into consideration. After all TV schedules aren't decided the week before. They will probably have scheduled it for a particular time of the evening.

Besides I don't know any companies or anything who are having or tend to have their Christmas parties on a Saturday. They are mostly on Thursdays and Fridays because people tend to have their own weekend arrangements and don't go to the party.

Just realised I'm going out that night . I'm going to have to desperately avoid hearing who has won till I get a chance to watch it!

dont know about most of the companies you know, but at the same hotel i am going to there are three comanies having their parties on that night

i have a lot of dealings with hotels in my area and from the smallest to the biggest they all have xmas parties that night from all kinds of people from industry to mothers and toddlers clubs(just the mums going ) to medical staff xmas parties

one company i know have well over 500 going to their party

The worry is whether more discerning viewers being at Christmas parties may result in it becoming easier for Shayne to win.
