Ex-Housemate to return?
There has been speculation of BB putting in an ex-housemate as far back as the last series.
A few weeks ago, when the producers took part in the webchat, they were asked about it and PE-J told us all to "watch this space". And now there's a poll going on in the official site as regards who you'd want to see go back. On Sunday I e-mailed Big Brother pointing out how the introduction of a housemate could be just what is needed for Saturday's live task show - perhaps they get to pick who goes in themselves or HOW many people come in? something like that. I have a very, very strong feeling about this; I'm almost certain that they're gonna do it this series. Andrew |

Also, I have just noticed that the website poll seems to be completely random in its chosing of housemates to go back in (so far)...
Lynne 7% Spencer 69% Sandy 11% Adele 12% Why have these people been picked? Is this some short of shortlist on the part of BB......? Andrew |

We can but hope!
After seeing the pole on the website I initially thought that could happen! What could be better for BB at the moment than for them to launch a public vote on friday to decide which evicted housemate could go back in?? Brink back Spencer

i'm still thinking about this. how about:
1)the loser of the task gets replaced by an ex-hosemate 2)the winner of the task choses a new-housemate 3)the winner of the task choses to replace ANY housemate of their choice with the ex-housemate... whose identity they don't know till they come in! OMG they should do number 3! the fireworks could be explosive!!!! Andrew |

I think the poll is just fun. If they were serious, it would be a phone in so we could choose & they could collect money.
Sandy walked. So he cannot go back. Grossly unfair if they do put someone back in. I would be one unhappy camper if I got to the last five the hard way & then found Lynne back on the show having kicked her out almost 2 months ago. Unless she was just put in to stir things up & was exempt from winning, but that would be pointless. Cheers Richard |

I dont want a housemate to return, we voted them out to get them off our screens so doesnt bringing them back defeat the object?

It would be ridiculous. I mean, how about if having been voted out this week, PJ returned the next? You might as well not be having this weeks eviction...

They should have Sandy go back in the way he left (garden net notwithstanding) how funny would that be?

Putting an ex-housemate back in would destroy the show. They'd know exactly what the outside world thought of each person in the house, plus know what each housemate thought of all the others etc.
Part of the whole concept is that the housemates inside aren't aware of the public perception of them. It really wouldn't work. |

I, too, wouldn't want any of this year's HMs to be put back in the house - even though I wish some of them had been never voted out. IMO I just don't think it would work or be fair.
I have to say, despite my reservations, I am intrigued by the idea of someone from BB1 or BB2 going in the house. Just my luck if it turned out to be Narinda! Minette

The idea of somebody from BB1 or 2 would be very interesting though if they were willing!! Can you imagine Nichola from BB1 in this years house? Or Penny? Lol

Well I have to say I'm quite surprised that most of you don't want anyone back - other than Spencer, who'd be my least favourite to return, because he was so dull.
A few comments though: "Sandy walked. So he cannot go back. " Says who? The producers set the rules and can change them any time at all. They infringed the so called "rules" in the very first week when they evicted someone! "They'd know exactly what the outside world thought of each person in the house, plus know what each housemate thought of all the others etc." Erm, hello, have I been missing something??? Clare, Sophie and Tim?!?!?! If they were under oath from BB to shut up they wouldnt say anything at all. "It would be ridiculous. I mean, how about if having been voted out this week, PJ returned the next? You might as well not be having this weeks eviction..." It would only happen this Saturday; PJ would'nt be considered for going back in. "it seems unlilely that any of the other three would wish to return." Oh, please! What planet are you on??? Lynne is the most desperate person to get back on! She is constantly moaning about having had to leave before she got a chance to be herself; this could be her chance to prove she's OK really. And don't bank on Sandy not wanting to go back in there. Allison loved it and would go back any day, Lee would probably, Sunita wouldn't, Spencer would to bot Kate and Sophie probably would. Bring it in producers! I still think it's going to happen, you can all have a laugh on me if it doesnt Andrew |

An ex-HM returning has always been on the cards and could become reality as early as this weekend
This might have something to do with last weeks dismal task which fell flat with very little impact or substance Q is how do they introduce an ex-HM? Should the public decide, or HM's currently in the house? Probably a bit of both.. I think it should be a public vote and the HM's to choose from the top 2 with the most # votes Ex-Hm could be allowed to return LIVE @ 1PM this Sunday when BBLB goes live on CH4 I think it's a great idea, but will it happen? Personally I would like Spencer to go back in, and have a duel with Alex......could be ratings winner Alex V Spencer - Rematch Sky |

They would have to much of an unfair advantage, if this happens it will ruin the whole show and im sure the others would be fuming if someone evicted in the first few weeks goes on to win it.

Maybe if they pass the task on Saturday night their reward will be the return of Spencer for the evening to celebrate his birthday.
I'd love to see Jonny's face. Bwah ha ha ha ha! I doubt they'll put an ex-housemate back in at this late stage. I didn't vote the Spencer vs Alex week because (at the time) I liked both of them and couldn't decide. I now really wish Spencer had stayed. But who knows - he might have been irritating me by now. |

Mrs
Nooooooooooooooo please NOT Spencer. He is boring, sleeps all day, hardly speaks when he is awake and doesnt have much regard for women. He contributed nothing except maybe a 'face'.
Remember the derogatory comments he made when Kate was on his lap in the garden? Much prefer Alison back, but better no-one at all - it is a stupid idea. Daisyanne |

Dermot has asked all HM's evicted on his show BBLB, whether they would like to return if given the chance...all have said YES
Apart from Sandy and Sunita, who both said No So, the following:- Lynn, Alison, Lee, Spencer, Sophie and Adele plus PJ.... will be given the opportunity to return Sky |

Me 2. That would really put the cat in amongst the pigeons. I liked Narinder though and her personality in their would stir things up a bit. I would NOT like a previous housemate from THIS current series to return. |

There are only two weeks of the series left and one set of nominations. If someone were to return this weekend they would be excluded from the final nomination process so their knowledge of the outside world wouldn't make much difference. It would also mean we entered the final week with 5 HMs, so there could be two evictions during the week leaving the final 3 on the Friday.
It would be pointless returning someone from a previous series because there would be no bond between them and the current HMs, you might as well put in some random z-list celebrity, so if it was to be someone from this series who would it be? Lynne was never really given a fair crack of the whip but her influence would be minimal. Alison would just return things to the first two weeks of the fame twins, fine if you like that sort of thing, but Alex and Tim would just spend the fortnight sulking. Lee would add little with no Sophie or Adele. Spencer might stir things up, Jonny would feel guilty about nominating him, Alex would become jealous of Kate again etc. Sophie would bring little new to the house and would be dull. Adele's return would please Alex, but the others would be very suspicious of her due to the boo's she received when she left. If PJ or Kate were returned a day or two after they were kicked out it would make a mockery of this weeks evicitions. So Spencer would be the obvious choice to cause maximum tension and stir things up in the final fortnight. They have to do something this weekend to stop things becoming predictable. |

"They would have to much of an unfair advantage"
Advantage in terms of what? If someone was put back into the house, they would be taken out again; to suggest that someone could be nominated again and evicted twice is totally ludicrous!lol! Andrew |
