How much is 1MB in real terms? i.e. can it be described in terms of the amount of internet pages you look at?

I'm trying to decide whether to go on a business or personal tariff and one of the sticking points is that one is charging £3 perm MB and the other £1.50.

SO! the questions are:-

1 - do you know if "per MB" charges apply for receiving email attachments?

2 - If an attachment was the size of an 'average' CV how many CVs would it take to get to 1MB? Approx of course.

Per meg charges would certainly apply to e-mail attachments.

I use vodafone for my e-mail, whats good about them is that a) 1MB costs £2.34 b) you can bundle data with texts. so for example the 500 txt pack that i have is actaully £60 off your data bill. so i could use it for 26ish meg instead.

So does your inclusive text amount cover the per MB charges?

No it wont do but they might do data bundle bolt ons if you want to keep your data costs down.

Yeah, I only use plain text e-mail. so each one is ~4k, costs about 1/10th of a text message.

Can you explain how this works please?

I got a Vodafone Sim (not phone) from them a while ago. It is £30 and give me 1000 txts. Ive noticed when looking at the bill that my wap usage is not listed, so im guessing i have the same as you.

So do i get double what you get? i.e 50megs?
